Let's not forget that Shevchenko also felt it necessary to headbutt Materazzi once...

But for you that's normal and Zidane should have shut up and walk away? While Zidane's headbutt can be punished insults are invisible and that's the problem, it happens too many times. Black players get insulted regularly so the Fifa "say no to racism" slogan becomes the biggest joke ever, especially in this world cup final case.

And what about this prick Paolo Di Canio "I am fascist but not racist"

How can Fifa or biggest football clubs tolerate this ? And Zidane will be blamed for a headbutt with this kind of similar idiot ???? Don't make me laugh, facist pigs should be punished for consequences of their acts. I think you should make up your mind, Zidane doesn't have a mood problem when he headbutts Materazzi, there is no football anymore, no world cup anymore, no rules anymore but one more time who started this ?

I didn't react like if he said so beacuse i've heard like 20 different things that once and every newspaper/internet-newspage wrote that he said.. How can YOU be so sure he said that, and that he also spit him on the head, when those two alternatives are the least well-known of all. Even Zidane said he didn't do any of those..
I don't know if Zidane made the right thing.. How could Materazzi know his mother was in hospital and so on, and i've heard "mama insults" occur quite often on prestigious matches, do you have the right to headbutt anyone for that.. I don't know that, man..
But Materazzi sure isn't a good boy.

You can't insult someone and preach to him what rights he has and hasn't. I mean, if you insult someone, you must deal with the consequences, infact you KNOW what the consequences will be, and Materazzi knew that very well. Maybe he hoped Zidane will swallow it but then wouldn't be able to focus on the game: THAT would be the worst case scenario. Zidane did absolutely the right thing, he didn't let Materazzi get away with it. Right now the rules protect the insulters, they are invincible, they shoot off and smile. Fuck that.

But he didn't mean so..

I "love" it how Materazzi tries to kick Zidane during his fall and goes into this "I want my mommy" fetal position when he hits the ground. How melodramatic. :?

Anyway, obviously no severe punishment by the FIFA for both.
