Well, Zidane got insulted and yes he should not have done it but it doesn't make him an idiot, to provoke is stupid, now I can understand he lost it even if I don't tolerate it. Trezeguet got his shirt ripped a few seconds before too, and he was insulted too. Italians had no legs in the 2nd half and France lost the world cup without losing any games.

Now I think France deserved more, in all honesty, not only because I support them. If italians were better I would just admit it, but they were not. France should have scored in the 2nd half and they did not so everybody knows the rules with the penalties, sometimes luck is here, sometimes it is not. Trezeguet scored for us in the Euro 2000, this time he failed.

I don't think the best team won in this tournament but congratulations to Italy anyway. To finish I think that this world cup showed the worst refereeing ever, a lot of decisions were just incomprehensibles. I hope video will help for the next competitions to come.

No, I love soccer to much to turn the TV off, regardless the quality of the game (I even watched Ukrain vs Switzerland).
And I can't understand Zidane. They played much better, had the better chances and brought offensive players to win this game, and then he freaks out. I mean, he is the captain of his team, he has to be an example for the others, and it was his last game for the national team in his career (and one of the most important). So I will never understand his reaction. And I don't like provoking either, but he has to be above it in this situation.

Yes, but Zidane played 1h20 and there are things you don't always see on TV but only on replay. Guys like Zidane or Henry must have very strong legs, ankles, knees etc because during 90 min they barely have this chance to play football without getting hit or something. Now as I said I don't tolerate or encourage what Zidane did tonight, but in the end I can understand it, especially if you add insults at the top of it. I am disappointed because one more time, words can't be seen on TV and Zidane will be remembered for this headbutt while Materazzi will be forgotten for what he said. To finish, (I heard this on radio) apparently Zidane's family that was here tonight got insulted by some Italian racist idiots before the game started. I think that's more stress to add to the guy, even if one more time as professional football player he should have avoided this. He was probably very upset to behave the way he did.

Toni had a bad world cup. Henry didn't do shit in most of the games. He had a tap-in goal against brazil and he didnt do anything in the last two games.

Materazzi is well known to be a cynical cheat in Italian's league. As I wrote, words can't be seen on video so we will never know what really happened, but one thing sure, Zidane would not have headbutted this prick without any reasons. If Materazzi really insulted Zidane then yes, he should be punished too.

So France with its african team (as some idiots wrote it somewhere) lost against Italy, the best team in the world. Well, we will meet them again on our way to the Euro 2008 so more fun (and headbutts) to come

Obviously I'm happy and I think that Italy hasn't stolen anything. Yes, it's true... In the second half Italy had no legs at all but it's football. It happens. Italy lost a world cup against Brazil in 1994 at the penalties, without deserving it. Today Italy won and France didn't deserve to lose. It's football.

And... Italy played a very good first half IMO...
