Why does everyone like this movie? i watched it and i though it was crap. Not to mention that Dana Cravey is extremely unfunny.

so... whats the deal with this movie?

I have to say I didn't find it all that funny either although everyone has different senses of humour, I guess it appealed to enough people to make it a classic.

Sj, I imagine you're the type of person who laughs at shows like Jackass and people getting run over? :)

I think it's one of those movies that was funny at the time just because it was so original, but has lost its bite thanks to being over-quoted. Mike Myers' style of humour isn't overly sophisticated (which isn't a bad thing at all, BTW) but is very immediate, and at that point 9the early 90s) there really wasn't much comedy around about rock fans - bands yes, but very little about the culture of rock fandom, which is why Wayne's World (and let's not forget Bill & Ted) were such a breath of fresh air.
Unfortunately, it became so much a part of the culture what with being endlessly quoted, it became stale. It's a disadvantage to Mike Myers' comedy, I think - Austin Powers has gone exactly the same way.

I reall like the movie. I also think this is the only instance where the sequel is better than the original.

I don't like it :D

Never seen it, but I'm not gonna like it anyway because I find 99% of all movies boring.

I haven't seen WW in a while, but it usually gets a couple of giggles out of me.

Waynes World always has me pissing myself in laughter. I think that if you dont think about the jokes then they work. Its really basic comedy but it works.

Also it really helps if you have had a few beers.

Oh another sequel better than the origional - ghostbusters 2.

Ok, I'll give you Godfather 2, but ESB was boring! Ghostbusters 2 was very 'meh'.
