I don't think Rick Ruben can single-handedly save Metallica. Only Metallica can do that. He certainly could help, but the fact is they have taken the current direction because they wanted to. I don't blame Bob Rock for the this direction. I do however blame him for introducing them to it. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. They are the horse and they were very thirsty!!!
