Okay, I thought of another.

I'm a sucker for Steve Vai. I know, I know. Save your, "guitar wankery" for someone who cares. I don't think he's wanking because, to me, that man sings through his guitar (when he's not singing on the mike, which is wrong. Wrong, I tell, you. The best thing Vai ever did was hire Devin.) Anyway, whenever I hear "For the Love of God," I'm moved. It's a way beautiful song. I also really really like "Lotus Feet" off of Real Illusions.

And, no, I won't just fuck off. I like Steve Vai. :guitar:

Hmm "beauty" is a really sketchy thing. I'm sure a lot of people are thinking of something really mellow and clean, but why should you? Why couldn't something like "Skeksis" be considered beautiful?

Anyways, off my soap box now, and I'll say Pink Floyd's "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" or "Echoes". Or hell, "Atom Heart Mother".

Well, because beautiful usually connotes those things. Skeksis would be considered aggressive, say, or something like that. Just saying, not arguing.

And, I like SOYCD a lot. Great song!

Absolutely. I love Windir - Saknet and Immortal - Damned In Black. Those are two of the most beautiful songs I can imagine... :)

The rest of my list would be:

Dream Theater - Space-dye Vest
Dream Theater - Through Her Eyes/One Last Time/Finally Free
Devin Townsend - The Death of Music
Nine Inch Nails - The Greath Below
Ljungblut - Jesuva
Sigur Rós - Starálfur

I'm sure there's more, but these are of the top of my head right now...

Yeah! How good is the outro to that song, it's as if...bah I if I start explaining it'll go for paragraphs.... lots of imagery goes through my head hearing it.

Most beautiful song ever?

Chopin - Raindrop Prelude

Go on, listen to it.

Rock song?

Mouse by Chromakey. The only song to CONSISTENTLY bring back memories of the horror you felt when the worst thing that happened in your life....err...happened.

Beautiful. :D
