Okay, I'll make this pretty short.

My roommates and I are throwing a pirate party within the next couple of months and I need some music to play at the party since I'm responsible for getting the music. I've got about forty to fifty minutes or so (possibly less), but I'm going to need more than that, so I'm wondering what anyone on here would reccomend.

What I have so far is:

The Pogues - Navigator
Jim Martin - Navigator (cover of the above)
Running Wild - Under Jolly Roger
Flogging Molly - Pirate Song
The Vandals - Pirate's Life
Grave Digger - Over the Sea
Disney - Pirate's Life for Me theme (minute or so clip)
Buckethead - A Pirate's Life for Me
Buckethead - A Pirate's Life for Me (live)

I have a few others, but that's the main juice right there. Anyway, it doesn't have to be a blatant pirate song, but just something that at least sounds piratey or has a theme to it that involves something piratey. Don't hesitate to mention ANY song you think may fit. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. It also doesn't even have to be something you necessarily like, because there's a couple songs up there that I don't really care for myself.

The Monkey Island theme is an obvious must-have. :)

You need many versions of "What should we do with a drunken sailor"

Haha, I had this same problem a few years ago.

Also, get every song from the movie Muppet Treasure Island, which is probably one of the greatest movies ever made.

Oh and there's bound to be some Iron Maiden songs that would fit in... RIme Of The Ancient Mariner?... In fact you should just play Run To The Hills because its so good... I could defiintely see drunken pirates singing along to it, it says somehting about whiskey.

How about Iron Maiden's Ghost of the Navigator

I see the ghosts of navigators but they are lost
As they sail into the sunset they’ll count the cost
As their skeletons accusing emerge from the sea
The sirens of the rocks, they beckon me

Lots of good suggestions, thanks for all of those. I already have the theme to Monkey Island, but that was a great suggestion anyway. I'll be getting a hold of a bunch of those.

About the pirate core bands, where can I get some of that? I remember a band named Hook that I saw MANY years ago, they were a great pirate core band, but I haven't even heard a single band that does pirate music since then.
