Kevin Gilbert's "Thud" and "The Shaming of the True"

For some reason, he's not too well know...though he should be. "Shaming" is incredibly brilliant.

I *want* to buy "Thud." It's on my list. Does that count? And, what's it like?

Hey, that's awesome. "Thud" is the only album of his you'll find for sale anywhere but the store on his site...so it's where most people start. "Thud" is a fairly acoustic album, with piano here and there, but unlike most singer/songwriter albums, drumming and bass work is pretty relevant here. Gilbert's more or less a one man band...he played nearly everything on that album. His lyrics are also very good...very cerebral. I love his voice too, it's very passionate and ballsy. That's the best I can say, but let me tell you, he's no ordinary "singer/songwriter" type.

Toy Matinee is still an album I've very fond of. Things She Said just kills me. If it's like that, then I'll dig it.

Well, I haven't heard any Toy Matinee yet, but it's on my to-get list. So I can't really give you a comparison.

Anyone?

Didn't think so. :P

Who the fuck is that? Some made up band I bet!! Is it any good? Is it that "country-emo" band from afganistan.

Hmm... an album I have that no one has...
Not sure if I should go with obscure or embarrassing.

BOTH!
Alarum - Eventuality (Australia's best metal band... yes, still somewhat obscure)
Sugar Ray - 14:59 (track 1 is good... that's it)

Anyone? What a great record. This record was, according to a german magazine, one of the 50 best records in the year 2001.

Got it! I also like 2004's Shadows Collide With People, it's way better then what he has done with RHCP in recent years....

That means I'm out. Just a little sidenote: Wouldn't it make more sense to prove what each member stated!? Digicams and scanners could be helpfull!

I own Schumi's F310 B Ferrari, would you believe that? Anyway, just a idea.

*waits for rant*

Another one that owns the Pink Anvil CD, that thing is a great listen.

Here's one that is a bit of a risk:

Goblin - Daemonia
