OH GOD! I can't believe Meshuggah was brought up on a Rammstein thread and by Greg of all people. (squints) I cant believe my eyes.

I happen to love the stein, "los" is the coolest song from them that I have heard in a while. I personally do not think they ever put out a "Bad" album.

Meshuggah seriously 'remixed' Rammsteins Benzin. Meaning, they kept the vocals and redid everything else themselves. I didn't like it tho, it was really nothing special. The other remixes on the single were by Ad Rock and Apocalyptica.

NOTHING sounds better blasted in my car than Rammstein, nothing even comes close to sounding as cool. Bad vocals? Hardly..
I enjoy the repetition of the music, it's sort of a cross between meditative and aggressive, done really well
If you own anything by Rammstein, let it be their "Live Aus Berlin" dvd.. I've actually never owned a DVD I've watched more, well maybe Ween's "Live in Chicago"

Check out the video to their song Klavier from the "Live Aus Berlin" dvd here... http://www.youtube.com/?v=-Lfc2e3WmfM

I believe the vocals really shine on this one

I had the Live Aus Berlin dvd before it was released over here... The joys of German imports. When it was released un the UK properly though, the BBFC slapped an 18 certificate on it. I don't see why.

The uncensored version has Bück Dich, where Till "rapes" Flake with the water-spraying dildo. I guess it's too much for the censors ;)

Edit:
Eh, what's that word replacing aboot

In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape
Hanzel Und Gretyl - Uber Alles
SYL - Alien

Some bands put a lot of effort in making an album sound well in cars. I've heard about bands driving around in cars with their demos and rough mixes so they can determine what to change to make it sound proper on a car stereo.

Funny you should mention In Flames - I was just having a discussion about them on another forum. The gyst was that their first four albums were good and everything since complete turd. But once upon a time they were indeed a very decent band.

some of their albums seem to bore me and some i like, but they usually make a really good few songs on an album. I really liked My Sweet Shadow for Soundtrack To Your Escape, but everyone ive talked to says the rest of the album sucks.

...oh dont tell me its gonna go from slipknot to ramsten to in flames
