On the other hand... I felt the same way about Lemuria/Sirius B (Therion) as chiablo feels about Synchestra. I liked only about half of it but I still thought it was pretty good.

He can hate the album for all I care, I simply pointed out that his review is inconsistent. I'm not the one that came back with a response talking about saying it in simpler terms (a reference my comprehension skills or intelligence, no doubt). When someone says more than 50% of an album is filler, that is not a great album. Say you don't like it overall then, but 6 songs are awesome. Don't say you only like 6 songs, but still think the album is great. That makes no sense. That is all I was saying.

could be some damn top knotch filler?? great filler material at that....???

i have read this thread and still cannot wait for my glossy real edition...

My girlfriend, who is not a hard rock/metal fan, loves Sunshine & Happiness.

Anyone else think that "mystery song" that was left off could have been Universal off of the bonus disc of Terria?

It has a very Synchestra-esque vibe to it

Why is this song the single?????????????
I mean, it has nothing to do with the rest of the record!
It's an awesome song for sure, but soooooo different from the rest of the record...

I can't stop thinking aboot Type O Negative, when they released October Rust and chose "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" as the first single... GREAT MISTAKE.
Some people bought the record because they thought it was going to sound like this song, and some people didn't buy the record because they hated the song, whereas the rest of the record doesn't match this first single...
The first ones hated the record and the others didn't listen to it...

Vampol and Vampira are ALIENs on this record...
But fucking great ones!!!

Triumph or Gaia would have done a better the job...

WOW! I have not downloaded the leak. Today for the first time I heard 'Gaia' on the DTB myspace page... I LOVED it!

Everything I was hoping for in the sound: It was heavy, dense, very melodic, ambient, uplifting...and had some great metal riffs. Wow!

If the rest of the CD is in this vein it will surely be one of my top releases of the year. This release date cannot come soon enough!

You're in luck my man for the rest of the CD is like that and even better! Pixillate is the best track on the CD IMO.

Yes, Pixillate is awesome. The female vocals are a nice touch, makes me wonder what a band with a female lead singer and DTB-esque music would sound like :)

I prefer Gaïa, IMHO Gaïa is da best one

But that's true the mood of Pixillate is something special......For you can imagine the DTB hanging on Camels, somewhere in the arabian desert or whatever LOL..

OK, I've just listened to "Gaia" for the very first time on the Myspace page.

This is good music. 8)

Oh, and the drum sound is decent; there IS an audible snare in the mix.

What happened to the layout of the forum btw?
