Any Elend fans about?

I think what these guys do is absolute genius. Its hard to describe their music but they mainly use classical compositions, sopranos and ambient sound design as a foundation to evolve on with deep front vocals. From there, anything goes with these guys. Often people have compared them to DeadCanDance.

Though some Elend's songs are beautiful and delicate some other songs are downright disturbing and intensely violent even more so than Black Metal.
At the moment i own the albums Winds Devouring Men and Sunwar The Dead.
Ive been trying to get The Umbersun which is supposed to be their greatest piece but its hard to get. If anyone here managed to get the Umbersun, please let me know :D

I've heard many people recommend them.

I just listened to the songs 'Threnos' and 'Laceration' from their latest album. Very beautiful, haunting stuff! I think I will add these guys to my (long) list of things to buy.

I have always loved the heavy side of classical music, and I really love when these sort of sounds are used in different contexts. Thats why I love Apocalyptica so much.

My mum recently said that if you took many of the great classical composers forward in time, that they would record heavy metal.

I have the last two albums...winds devouring men and sunwar the dead.

The music is undescribable in my mind, there are no real song structures you can pick out, but haunting is a great word for it. Atmospheric and dynamic and the fact most of it (if not all of it) is sung in French makes it all the more mysterious to me!

Arcana and DCD are brilliant. Ive got the Toward The Within album. Personaly i believe Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun is their best . Ive been trying to get one of Arcana's record but failed. live in Australia where people have the worst taste in music imaginable. Thats why its hard to get obscure music here.

Apparently they don't sell too well in Finland, since you can still buy both of them at several Finnish online stores :)
