As a keyboard player it would be really interesting to hear which synthetizers and software programs Devin has used for the solo work and Dave in DTB, and if the sound is produced with a certain technique? The keyboards are everywhere on these tracks and they are warm, thick, and extremely pleasing. Surely, a great connaissance is needed to use them so efficiently - Dev, you're a multitalent.

I think he just presses the preset song button that exist on certain casio-keyboards.

In the Alien "making of" and Synchestra "live/making of" DVDs (and every other shot I've seen) Dev and Dave are using Korg Triton Le, which probably has a lot to do with it. They're pretty awesome machines.

Software-wise, mentioned in those same sources are Ableton Live, Cubase and Pro Tools. That may be as detailed as you're gonna get unless Dev feels like sharing his plug-ins collection with us.

That takes the fun out of it! Producers that have been doing it for long enough can recognize the sound of most plug-ins anyway. I can't listen to certain albums without picturing Bitcrusher settings especially!

you have to remember though, not everything is keyboards. some of it is also computerized ambience =] (hence albums like devlab and the hummer). so maybe the things you're assuming to be keyboards are actually dev's masterful computerizardaryness?
