Since this has boiled down to your own personal flame war... I'll leave with some more of 'my words'...

So if I consider AE a 'great' album and Synchestra has the same amount of content to it (albeit with some additional tracks that I feel are filler) then where is the problem with me calling it great?
Of AE, I listen to about 6 tracks quite regularly... with Syn, I will also listen to about 6 tracks regularly. Both are great albums, one has a little more filler that I will hit the 'next track' button on when those tracks come up.
Also, some tracks are better together than they are apart. I will never play Vampolka without immediatly following it with Vampira. There are several tracks that flow this way. Individually, Vampolka is garbage, but it becomes something else when it is combined with it's follow-up track.
Same goes with the album as a whole. I doubt anybody would listen to Mental Tan as an individual peice without the rest of the album in tow.
I apologize if my review seemed to slam the entire album on a track-by-track basis... but that's how I usually listen to and look at all CDs. I'll pick out the songs I like, make them into MP3's then shelve the CD. It would do me no good to have random tracks from this album in my playlist, but I do enjoy listening to the whole thing (except for the babysong, I'll always skip that one.
