Let's go to Japan! ^_^

Abingdon Boys School:

The singer is T.M.Revolution, a popular pop singer from japan. This is the band he's now part of. One of the guitarists used to be in Wands. If you can get over the vocals (or like them), some sweet riffage.

Come on, now. Give it a chance.

Had to double post to make this point. Sorry.

Dalek, a hip hop group that toured with Godflesh, Neurosis, the likes:

Rubberoom, a Chicago act that takes hip hop to a different level subject-wise while still having a modern sound.

Saul Williams, a hip hop/spoken word artist who's last album was produced with Reznor:

And for the angry ones, Billy Danze of MOP's new side project:

If you don't like these, fine. You're welcome to your opinion. If you still want to speak on the affairs of hip hop like you know something about it, don't bother thinking yourself the wiser anymore. I'm done arguing this shit with metal heads.

Prime, specially Dalek, love him. I can withgo lyrics sometimes for a groove with rnb vocals in the back, heh.I love Gfunk. Specially when It comes to anything siccmade, they've all got some supreme ultraviolence going on there specially with the cannibalism lol. Unfortunately they doesn't do much for your vigilant cause...for the tolerance of rap and hiphop, heh so none of that will be posted.

Yup! Their new album, Mechanize, is good shit if you're a Bulb/Meshuggah fan.

I present to you: Angizia from Austria."Strange" is sometimes a fitting description, expect influences from jazz, chamber music, classical, klezmer, opera, metal and whatnot (too tiring to lose yourself in 'accurate' genres...)

Mind the shitty pictures

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlU7PszUHNQ

From their fifth (and currently latest) LP "Ein Toter fährt gern Ringelspiel" (2004) ['A dead likes to ride carousel' ...roughly translated]

They 'had' more metal though...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCeAUtC0fGA

from "Das Schachbrett des Trommelbuben Zacharias" (1998) ['The chessboard of the drum boy Zacharias' ... or something like that... these outdated german words are sometimes just a pain in the ass to translate... but I had to bother]

just url's for the sake of our browsers..

Alucard make me want to show off some more Chicago local music. This time, a firm look at our underground metal scene!

Let's start off with the band he and I were talking about, Veil Of Maya. I went to high school with these guys. Crazy guitar work, alternating high and low scream vocals. If you're not afraid to go a bit post-hardcore, you'll like these guys:

http://www.myspace.com/veilofmaya

Next, some stoner/doom metal, Minsk (Who I believe I mentioned before). Recently signed to Relapse Records, they're essentially a darker, non-instrumental Pelican/Isis type band. The drums are pretty sweet. Post-metal fans will like as well:

http://www.myspace.com/minsk

Third, we have Plague Bringer, who are grind/industrial/experimental metal. Behemoth-depth vocals (though not as demonic), and fast-paced, these guys are nuts:

http://www.myspace.com/plaguebringer

And last but not least, Lair Of The Minotaur, a sludgy thrash act from Chicago. Probably one of my favorites:

That's good one. Points for not using same DFH sounds and same POD patches as everyone :). I got used to associate djent with same trebly drums and chug, recording as an actual band helps I guess :).

Had that months ago man ;)

And yes, it is good! More like their older, heavier stuff. 20 Minutes/40 Years is absolutely epic.
