When is this due out? And is this the only album besides Z2 he is working on at the moment?

He said 'ghost 2 stuff'. Hope he means the full album. Although does this mean the CoC bonus tracks won't be available! Hope not - I'd prefer them to Ghost 2 since I've heard about half the album.

It is a bit disconcerting that bonus tracks are a given at this point in his career....

Well, when you write that much music and you can only fit it onto one disc. I agree though, it gets your collector's mentality raging at times.

The mentality raging and the wallet crying due to all the holes you are burning in it.

Couldn't have put it better myself.
Due to the fact that production on this album seems to be almost through, I think we can anticipate this next summer.
As for Z2, that seems like it will very much be a 2014 release.

Sounds so far away!
I know. But given he puts out stuff so much, I believe I will be scrambling for monies, even several months down the line.

All good things to those who wait - this is something that Devin has proven.

If not longer - he seemed to hint somewhere that he'll be taking a break soon.

Not to contradict you, but I just got the feeling that he wants to put the breaks on everything else and focus solely on Z2... 'slow it down and do it right', as he said, you know? I imagine he'll (understandably) be pretty burned out after this current tour cycle ends, but even if he breaks for a bit to spend time with his family, I don't think that'll stop him from writing/recording as frequently as he has been.
With that being said... the quality of his musical output is such to me that I don't mind waiting a bit for new releases. I'm hoping Casualties will see the light of day early next year sometime (he mentioned in a recent interview the artwork was already finished before he went on tour... whoa!), but I guess we'll see.

I am beginning to think that something someone (Octillius, probably) said is likely true: Devin talks a lot. Like A LOT. Not to say that he ever lies or misrepresents himself, but more that he talks so often that he say one thing and contradict himself later on due to more information and different feels. Given that he has been consistently overproductive over the entirety of his career, I think it is safe to say he will still pump stuff out faster than anyone else, even if it does entail something of a break for him. The biggest gap between releases so far has been between Ziltoid (May 27th 07) and Ki (May 22nd 09). You hear him talk about this arduous process he went through to find himself under the stomach flabs and stinky dreads and it sounds like this long, epic journey, but in actuality he probably only went a couple months without writing anything before starting the process of writing the 60 something songs that became the first four records and some of Ghost II (and who knows how many scrapped songs).
I am just saying that I keep seeing him change his mind through the tons of interviews he does. In mid 2009 while he is promoting Ki he does an interview in which he discusses what the breaking point of SYL was and says that he knows he can sing and prefers it to screaming in peoples' faces. Now in late 2012, he is saying he doesn't like singing, because it hurts. And this is pretty short time frame to make that kinda jump in perspective. The breakneck pace he lives his life by pretty much ensures that he wind up a 60 year old with 40+ records under belt and still doing 3-4 every 5 or 6 years.

Probably was me. Well, some of you guys are a bit new to all of this, so all I'll say is that he's always been this way, but all of his shit sees the light of day in some form eventually. I figure all's well that ends well.
