My experience with chasing leaks is to steer clear of .rar files, even if the contents appears to check out. Folks who arn't so savvy should just avoid it and at least wait until the reviews start coming out, as it's usually a cheeky journalist who does the leaking...but regardless, it's a bit daft making a fake leak when it's pretty obvious that he's not even finished it yet

I remember when me and a friend decided to make a fake leak of Agalloch's MOTS. Except instead of putting viruses in it, we put the newest Dream Theater album in it and changed the song titles.

I guess there advantages to not knowing about anything until several months after it is released (Just found out about Contain Us last week and only just now about the Live Release he is planning).

Dr. Chocko and the Lollipop Farters was one of the best leaks EVAR. But yeah, things usually don't pop up till around a month or something beforehand so there's a whole Epicloud-less summer ahead of us anyway. I'm usually contented by getting a pre-order in for somethin' fancy anyway.
