I guess that makes sense, just judging from what I've heard in the youtube clips. Similarly, Trainfire kills the vibe for me on Ki. And I know that song has cool moments, but the main verse part of it kills it for me. And there is a simple reason. I hate Elvis and that 50's shuffle style. :chain: I have never been able to tolerate it. And Ki isn't mellow enough to keep my intolerance at bay. Maybe the overall tranquility of Ghost will coax me into a state where I can fully accept and appreciate the twangy-twang of Texada. I hate country. :furious: We'll see if Ghost keeps the hate away. I have a strong feeling that it will. :zen:

Maybe you should check out Gothic Country. Stuff like 16 Horsepower, Jay Munly, Those Poor Bastards and Woven Hand.

funny thing is I love Trainfire :D and the last section in trainfire may be one of the best recorded pieces of music ever. The vocals get me each time.

Those 2 aren't bad but they don't fit imo.

Interesting that you'd say that, but I can kind of see where you're coming from at least with Texada, the updates make it seem a bit more "all-over" than most of the other material on there...

I'd like to know your opinion once you hear the album as well. Please PM me when you do. I checked the updates and the bed tracks yesterday and i had stayed away from listening to anything barring Feather until i got the album.

Hey Dev, is the a possibility of in the future being able to get a hard copy of Ghost 2? The download is nice but I would personally like to have the artwork/booklet and be able to display it with the rest of my cds at some point. I don't think I'm the only one who would like this :)

Look at the spine of a DTP album. There's a piece of the DTP logo.

@gs48 Damn you lol.

I love trainfire, i'd go as far as saying it's one of my favorite songs on Ki. At first I thought it was a little odd, but I got over my 50's-phobia pretty quick when I realized that listening through it meant getting to the total amazingness that is the middle section where the music pretty much cuts out to a guitar (barely) and snare drum, then it builds back up into the groove with the female vocals, which is one of my favorite moments on the whole album. It's a major warm-fuzzy-feeling moment for me :mrgreen: Now I dig the whole song, the way it progresses is just awesome.

That said, I'm trying to expect as little as possible from Ghost, because I know I'll be hearing something different than what I expect. That's just how it goes :wink:
