As awesome as it'll be, I'd much rather hear music from the heart than music to satisfy the audience. Look at Dream Theater these days.

I love trance music, the more psycadelic, the better.

You forgot - Hallucinogen.

Just got put onto - Astral Projection

i didnt. i dont like them. to be honest, they its probably amazing live, but the cds sound so old in production now, that most other psytrance records sound better. thats just my opinion though, and i know you might disagree. thats cool too.

Astral projection are ok i guess, but i never got into them as much as some other stuff. i know a lot of people like them too. and Juno Reactor. Theres so much out there, we could be here all day suggesting stuff :) maybe we should start a new thread for that?

To be honest I haven't got into psytrance much, have to check your threads out, pass 'em on to my mates that do.
And check out some festivals, happenings.

Wonder if Dev got some inspiration for the crayon pics from, Kid A, booklet?

I have to say, I think we all need to chill out about this album. We need to stop projecting our own images of what devin's music is and should be onto each other and onto Devin himself. Reading these past few pages, it's easy to see why he's wanting to put this album on the back burners for a while. I remember just a year or two ago when it was looking like Devin might move on from the whole music thing and do something else, I was just hoping for my own selfish reasons that he would take music back up again. Now here he is with two new albums and a tour in less than a year. Ki was fucking amazing, I'm super excited about Addicted, and I'm not missing that tour for anything. Let's give him a break. Whatever is next will come, take it easy. It will be what it is, and if the past has taught us anything, it's that it will be cool.

You know, anything Dev releases is gold. So I'm totally not worried for whatever Deconstruction will become. I think we all need to realize SYL is over, as much as I loved them. Devin has moved on and is making incredible music now, we shouldn't be so concerned with what he used to be. I'm so excited to see what Decon will be, whatever Dev feels moved to create with it. Make it whatever you want Dev, not what you think we want to hear or what your not enjoying.

And now on to something completely different.

Is anyone else having something weird happening when trying to load certain pages on the forums? Like only being able to see like 3 and half posts? Like on page 43 of this thread? Just curious....

A lot of people only think of Devin when thinking of SYL, but in my opinion DTB/solo stuff is just as good as SYL, if not better. Devin is a class A musician as long as he puts his heart into, which we've seen with pretty much everyone of his albums, so I'm excited for any music he's confident in. Can't wait for Addicted, already preordered!

Man is a multitalent, and I agree 100% with you. SYL is just one take, there is lots more where that came from if one is willing to try something different. Still I'm waiting for Decon, 'cos I just love those heavy (and complicated) songs from Dev :D And yes, it's very clear that it isn't going to be new SYL but that makes it even more exciting. Hell yeah!
