Ah, Shitstorm... I remember the first time I listened to it. I wanted to grab everyone I had ever known my entire life by the collar and say

"HERE! Listen to THIS! THIS is how I feel! THIS is what is going on in my head ALL THE TIME!"

Well, most of the time... the rest of it was drop-dead depression.

Thanks to Devin for finding a way to express how I was feeling... nothing I could say or describe could have done it better. And I am thrilled that there may be more of that coming our way.

Hahahahah, tell me about it! It took me ages to actually be able to listen to it and actually hear the song in the
midst of all the chaos. I was totally unable to capture it until one day when I was so pissed that I didn't know what to
do with myself. I just really needed a release, so I put on the Alien album and when Shitstorm came, all of a sudden
there was a song there as well. All it took was the right state of mind.

What there is however is a tsunami of creative energy. It's hard to explain, but when I hear it, it feels like waves and waves of intense ideas that have no filter on them.

It's dark (of course) but it's really full tension with no release (if we don't count Ghost) rather than unbridled fury

Heheh, funny story about that. I felt the same way you did when I first heard that, and one day when I was bored, I decided to leave cryptic messages around my room (mainly because I'm a twat), and one of the things I wrote on the bottom of my chair was "SYL - Track 3". For who knows what reason, one of my friends looked under the chair and saw it, and I was interrogated by a group of friends as to what it meant. I was too embarrassed to play it for them because they weren't into heavy stuff like that, and they'd probably think I was secretly a rageaholic.

Totally worth it.

But Shitstorm is just too intense for me now, I skip it when listening to Alien.
