Did you see the Devin Townsend Project at the O2 Brixton Academy (with Meshuggah and Periphery) in London?

Please post your reviews, setlists, photos and video links here!

Thanks!

Amazing gig. Missed the first band, but caught most of Meshuggah: they were the first band Ive ever been simultaneously mega impressed by yet bored shitless by, lol. Technically amazing, great lightshow, but the music itself did nothing for me.
As for Dev, great lights and staging, backing singers, new stage clothes, (sportwear??really? Great stuff!), and most impressive of all, Beav and Dave tearing up the stage, running round the backs, going up their steps onto the big platforms like scary hairy podium dancers! :-). Dev was his usual self :-)

The setlist was pretty much the same as they've played the last couple of gigs, wasn`t impressed by Angel as an opener, though is sounded great unto itself, with 7 songs (I think?) in total from Epicloud, one from Addicted, nothing from Ocean Machine or Terria, two from Decon, one from AE, and two from Infinity.

Annie`s vocals were VERY quiet through the PA, which was a shame, but what I heard sounded fantastic and she looked stunning.

Also it has to be the loudest gig Ive been to for years now, everyone seemed to mention that on the way out!

Sorry, just random ramblings, very tired. A great gig.

Next time Dev just headline Brixton as a sole headliner so we can get a longer set!!

EDIT: while I remember, the backing singers, whether they were miming or not, seemed to definitely make a difference, even if it was just psychological, if that makes sense. They were choreographed, hard working and looked like they had great fun.
