Little Pig - what a fantastic way to finish the show. As has been mentioned it was a shame Terria in particular didn't get a run, given how respected and loved that album is. Personally I would've liked more Ocean Machine but the man has such a monolithic catalogue that you could do a 10 hour retrospective show and miss stuff.

Oh, and did someone say JED FUCKING SIMON!? :string:

Discounting all the lunatic theatrics, and hearing the SYL stuff with Jed must've been cool... but besides that the setlist wasn't exactly much of a career retrospective, was it? Tons of new stuff when I think a lot of people (or maybe it was just me) were expecting some cool old things.

inb4 anyone says I'm bitter about not being able to go (cos I am), but I'm sort of glad in a way I didn't fork out hundreds for the setlist that was in it. It was mostly just the same as all the normal gigs on the rest of this tour. :?

All the same though, hope everyone there had an absolute blast. Hopefully there'll be something similar next year and this Devtober/Devember trend shall continue on!

Yeah I was very much hoping for more OM, Terria etc. It was worth the 8 quid to stream it though, especially with the Aussie dollar flexing its muscles like the beast that it is right now.

(and nice one rakune, I forgot about that!)

I kinda agree, but my final favorite song to not be documented (the Greys) has now been documented so overall I'm enamored.

Kinda thought the whole thing got a bit away from him, though. Solid effort, enjoyed the hell out of it, kinda preferred the intimacy of By a Thread.

Absolutely, Greys was a big highlight for me too.

The Greys would've been cool alright... The Infinity tracks were good as well but... I dunno, the Synchestra songs felt like a cop-out when they can do big grandiose tracks like Pixilate that ruled all last year and they had Anneke there. Also no Terria at all was a bit shocking.. and only one Ocean Machine and Physicist track each. Accelerated Evolution got left off entirely; that surprised me big time! And Sunday Afternoon was listed on the Metal Hammer spoiler setlist as well... Nothing from Ki, nothing from Ghost, no Punky. Current feeling I have is actually sort of happiness I didn't pay out all that money to go in the end. I'd be way more for the setlist than the spectacle and maybe I'd be one of a few in that regard but I dunno. I wasn't even there and I feel disappointed or something?

Sorry. I'll try stop me bitchin' now...

Jed stayed on for Bend it Like Bender.

Also, Little Pig was just about everybody, including Jed. And, if I'm not mistaken, Armando with a drum.

Other than that I'm busily staring vacuously into empty space. That was by far the most ridiculous thing I ever saw, and this was the case about halfway through the third song.
