Awesome, got to shake his hand twice, nice that he shook everyone's hand before the show. Tons of crowd interaction. HE bought 10 of us beers. The lounge was a nice relaxed vibe, i actually sat most of the show. Probably better than the Chicago show I was at, definitely more comedic.

I was at the Milwaukee show - my wife and I got the VIP tickets and we were surprised to find out that we were the only ones! Got to hang out with Dev and chat for about half an hour before the show and he's a genuinely cool and interesting guy, as I'm sure you all know.

The show itself was kind of strange because there couldn't have been more than 50 people there. It probably wasn't promoted very well - I only found out because I saw it on Twitter a couple of weeks before. Devin even joked about it during the set - saying "I'm Devin Townsend, and apparently this isn't our strongest market!" and "I'd like to thank Aunt Martha for letting us play in her basement!" On one hand, it was cool, because it was almost like having our own private show. But on the other hand, the turnout was so low I doubt if he'll be back in Milwaukee any time soon. If he does ever come back, the Rave is the place to play at - they have multiple stages to accommodate any size show and they do a real good job at promoting their upcoming events.

Anyway, Dev took advantage of the small crowd and did a lot of audience participation, getting us all to sit down and jump up during By Your Command, and he even sat down in the crowd as well (I'll try to post some clips on YouTube later). And after the show, he came out and shook hands with just about everybody in the crowd.

The setlist was the same as the other shows listed at setlists.fm for the Bearded & The Bald tour:

1. Truth
2. Om
3. ZTO
4. By Your Command
5. Life
6. Deadhead
7. Disruptr
8. Supercrush!
9. Kingdom
11. Juular
12. Color Your World
13. The Greys
14. Unknown (intro? jam?)
15. Deep Peace

The one thing I wasn't sure about was the clip I posted below of what was either a song I didn't recognize or a mellow jam that they did before Deep Peace.

Okay, here's the YouTube playlist of the video clips:

Also, can someone identify this song? It was about four or five minutes long and they played it before Deep Peace. At first i thought it was just an intro, but it went on for four or five minutes. Not sure if it they were just kind of jamming on a mellow groove, or if it's maybe its just one of those songs I haven't heard enough times to recognize it yet.

Since I'm a noob and apparently can't post threads yet, here's an article I wrote about the December 6 show in Eau Claire:

And there's this, with links to a bunch of stuff: http://www.uwec.edu/webprojects/cj323/U ... Claire.htm
