Seriously. What a massive, unbelievable set. Heaven Send opening the encore? Not only is that the first time I've heard any of Ki live, but - short of a Lady Helen / Ki / Quiet Riot medley - I think that's just about the best possible first encounter with the album at a concert. Man. Also, the show might have convinced me that Colour Your World is one of the best tracks that Devin has ever put out. As good as the best of that album at the very least, which says a lot.

On that note, playing it back to back with The Greys as the main set was winding down? I think I spontaneously grew a beard made entirely of ecstasy and the sound of my balls dropping. The shave that followed was especially weird, but still! So good.

Also, on a very important side note, I didn't think customer service could actually drive me to orgasm, but Brian the merch guy? Goddamn. I don't know what horrific things the touring crew did to create someone (thing?!?) capable of handling their money / drunken crowds as well as this dude did, but FrankenBrian sold me on both a tour poster and a Ziltoid handwarmer / cosmic muppet, and I'm sure my money enjoyed his tender but practiced caress. I'm normally pretty cynical about wantonly throwing cash away at shows too, so there you have it!

(Disclaimer: I'm actually NOT Brian the merch guy. Surprisingly. Cool dude though.)

Anywho! Ziltoid is glaring at me with his omnidimensional felt stare, and I think I hear the sound of a thousand guitars tuning to bizarre alien pitches from somewhere behind him and far, far, away. I think I should cut myself off before I learn exactly how scary a muppet can be.

Great show.
