Of course I do! It took about 5 minutes to get going first because Devin forgot then tuning.. and then he broke a string trying to tune the guitar.. which prompted a Punky Bruster "I BROKE A STRING" from Dev. The vid is a bit dark, but once I get 'em all sorted I'll post 'em here for sure :)

Oh, and someone shouted out earlier in the set to "Play something from Ghost!" and Dev was like.. hrm, maybe.. if you get lucky we'll see if we can. The setlist didn't have it on there, so while the rest of the band was taking their "encore break" Devy stayed out on stage and played it :)

Oh, and just a follow-up with a shot of the quality of a lot of the video I got :) I'll post 'em up here once I get 'em all chopped up and put on YouTube. Most likely later on today :)

There were several of these "Messiah-Dev" shots due to the where I was standing opposite that flood-light from Dev. I love it!

Gaaaahh, you guys got Awake! too :( That's one of my favorites off Addicted, and I really wanted to hear it live. Stupid midterm tonight...

How was the turn out? I can't wait to see vids :D That picture you took does look pretty godly.

I was -right- up on the stage, my arms were basically resting on Dave's little ground control board for his guitar, but from what I could tell Devy filled up the place pretty well, and every single person was there for him. I don't think The Ocean had much of an established base there at all. The lead singer of the band did get his head clocked pretty hard by the bottom of their guitarist (who was swinging it around like he had a wasp stuck under his shirt), right next to his eye and he started bleeding down his face. That got folks going a bit, but.. the crowd erupted when Devy walked out.

I think a lot of the crowd was thrown by the setlist though. Most people seemed to have not heard much of the new material, so they were sorta lost on the Ghost, Ki, Decon and Addicted stuff. Only a few of us got into Seventh Wave, Gaia and Deadhead (I was freaking the fuck out haha).

The tour has certainly taken its toll on Devy's voice, as he was struggling hard by Awake and Vampira. Hopefully he gets better in time for the DTP "Power Hour" in the UK :)

Rakune, I think I ended up right behind you at one point.

I am so glad someone got the setlist because I am so entirely out of it from a very very strange and taxing day. Let me emphasize, the show itself was awesome, and I hope someone can do a write-up that will do it justice. It was the best of the 4 times I've seen him come through at Slim's, and I wish my mind wasn't elsewhere the whole night.

Without going into it, Cody gig luck struck again, but this time it hit someone else. :(

Great chatting with a lot of you who go here, it really made up for de facto being at the gig alone. Basically my plans for the day got derailed, but unfortunately it could not be avoided.

The gig itself was excellent, and I was so glad Paul got his little shout out and his moment to chat with Dev.

I chatted with Dev for a bit after everyone cleared out again, it's always good to say hey.

Talked to Beav a bit before, during and after the gig, man's a sweetheart.

Thanks again all for signing the poster, I'm sure Dana will be super stoked.

Broken strings, silly tuning troubles and warmed hearts all around. I'll take a pic with Ziltoid at work tomorrow. Oh and Morten I bought your shirt.

Edit: it's true, the crowd was a bit weird, and stationary, but I think everyone seemed to enjoy it. Judging by the mob on Dev after the gig, I'd say it was clearly a success.

Aw, Cody. Sorry the night didn't turn out as planned for you. :(

It's almost 3:30am right now, and I need to get some sleep before work. I'll post a bit more later. Great show! I would have loved to have hung around more afterward, but I really needed to get my family home. I did get some pics with Dev and was able to talk a little, so it was all good.

Highlight for me was Dev telling the crowd, "Hey, it's Paul! Everyone say "hi" to Paul!" And they did. Funny as hell, and pretty damned cool. My son was very impressed. I now have celebrity status in my household. My wife recorded most of the show, and of course she missed getting that little moment. lol

Alright, here we go.

First of all, I ran into Cody immediately after arriving and we exchanged pleasantries. While waiting in line saw Dave Young and RVP a few times going back and forth to the bus.

After the doors opened I headed to the merch booth and got a shirt and two puppets, one for my son. The opening act was The Ocean and they were a solid band, but didn't really grab me. They did have a few good riffs, though.

After the opening act Ziltoid Radio started, along with the shoop slideshow. All our favorites were up there, including this one:

I made that! Pretty stoked over that.

After the Ziltoid intro the band hit the stage. Devin came over to my side (I was standing on the left, on Beav's side), grabbed my hand and said "Good to see ya, brother!" Ok, now my level of stokedness has increased tenfold.

From there on things get a little blurry, but Devin came by a few times during the show and would say "Hey Paul!," or "How ya doin?," or something like that. Like I mentioned before however, when he pointed me out in the crowd and told them all to "say "hi" to Paul," I could have shit myself. Truly awesome to have the crowd give a big 'ol "HI PAUL!!!" lol I loved it!

My wife was switching off from snapping pics and recording the show, and managed to miss pretty much every bit of interaction I had with Dev during the show. lol The video and pics she did get were pretty good. We were having trouble with our camera's flash, so some pics didn't work out so well. This one is cool, though:

This is the set list. You can add "Kawaii" in between "Awake!" and "Heaven Send."

As you can see, Devin signed the set list for me, as well as my son's Ziltoid puppet:

It was an amazing show, even with the Devin's 3 broken strings throughout the night. lol It was my first time seeing Devin, and it was better than I had hoped. He played one of my favorite songs, "Awake!," which really put it over the top for me. I wished I could have stayed longer and talked some more, but I really had to get my family back home. We had a two hour drive ahead of us, which turned into a three hour drive because we stopped at Denny's. lol I got home at 3:00am, went to sleep at 4, and woke up at 5:30am to get ready for work. Definitely worth the lack of sleep, though.

Here's a couple of pics of me and my son with Dev:

Here's some video of "Heaven Send" my wife got. The end is cut off because the canera's battery died. Pretty epic until then, though:

I'm a bit confused. They are selling Ziltoid puppets at the merch booths now, so does that mean the VIP pass holders will get the puppets with their packages instead of waiting for them in the mail like with several past shows?

That is correct. Sylkicks was a VIP over in Colorado and he received his Ziltoid then.
