Being my first time seeing Dev play (and his first visit to Portugal) it is difficult to be partial - but I was as blown away as I expected to be! Dev is a consummate showman - between the funny faces, evil stares and Canadian dance moves, every note was spot on and his good natured smiles and thank yous to the audience were totally contagious. My wife is now a firm believer

The set list follows pretty much what has been played in recent shows - a shame nothing from Ki or Ghost were played:
Addicted
Supercrush
Kingdom
Deadhead
Truth
Ohm
By Your Command
Pixelate (indeed! - although lacking that sense of contrast without the female voice)
Bad Devil
Stand
Juular
Colour Your World
The Greys
Deep Peace
I had been waitig to shout 'CHAOS' at the top of my lungs for a long time and I was not disappointed

I must also say that the deconstruction songs might even be better live because of their more simple and less confusing arrangements.
All in all, an amazing show in every way and I'm sure Dev was left with a very positive impression of the Portuguese audience and I hope he'll be back soon. I had no idea there were so many Dev fans in Portugal (although Ziltoid seems to be his most well known material with most of them).
After the show, to my surprise, it was announced that he would be giving autographs, so off I went with the wife in tow and after around 20 minutes in line, we were quickly rushed through the proceedings - Dev, all smiles and very polite (another +1 with the wife) gave a simpe autograph while I shared my Canadian heritage with him and he lovingly drew a little picture for my 7 year old daughter (who could sing a funky version of Awake when she was 5).
Dev deserves so much more recognition and $$ for what she does. Let's hope he continues to do it and surprise us for a long, long time!
Lastly, I can't not make a public thank you to Ricardo from Viana de Castelo for lovingly letting me take his first row space. Obrigado! There is no doubt that Dev fans are as cool as the man himself!
