It was St. Pete.

The set was "Truth", "Supercrush", "More!", "Planet of the Apes", "Lucky Animals", "Juular", "Grace"

I have mixed feelings about last night. Seeing Devin right there 2 feet in front of me (both on stage and outside the venue before the show) was amazing and it probably my favorite concert going experience. Being up in front going nuts along with everyone else and even catching Devin's eye once or twice made my night.

Then Gojira's set happened. In all fairness, it was my fault for not getting as far away from the stage (and pit) as possible. The abuse and shitstorm that occurred was something I could have avoided experiencing and I can only blame myself for how miserable I was during their set (for a whole hour, I was trying not to hit from behind or crushed and not to get hit by Jean's bass. If I had the chance to listen to their set without worrying about my surroundings, I am sure I would have liked it.

One more note: I got the VIP bundle but the meet and greet was cancelled for the venue. Just a heads up to people who bought VIPs in other locations.

Gojira set (if I remember the right order):
Explosia
Flying Whales
Backbone
Art of Dying
Toxic Garbage Island
The Heaviest Matter in the Universe
Wisdom Comes
L'enfant Sauvage
Ouroborus
Maurice Solo
The Axe (they realllly drug this song out)
Vacuity
Gift of Guilt

*I will post pics from last night after I have had time to recover from somethings that happened immediately after I left the venue.

Devin was GREAT at this show. Set list above is accurate from my memory, I had thought I was forgetting a song or two b/c I saw in another thread that he played 8 songs including "War." Ah well. Devin got tons of attention from the crowd, especially when the show was over. When Atlas Moth mentioned Dev followed by Gojira during their act, I think Devin got a slightly louder cheer. And we were all yelling for Dev to stay, which was cool. Seems totally not-fair to only get 7 songs next to Gojira's ten million. Why wasn't Dev a Co-headliner? Maybe in other Parts of the coutry Gojira are clearly bigger and Devin maybe more popular in Tampa now compared to other areas? When Strapping came here for the Alien tour as headliner, the place was only half-full. If Devin had been the headliner here, I'm sure the place would have been near-sold out all the same.

Edit: Strapping came to Tampa's "Masquerade" now "The Ritz" My point remains, though. Dev seems to be *much* more well known now, based on this single experience. Also, did anyone meet Devin after? I am clueless regarding the "meet and greet VIP package" anymore info on that?

Hunting, Devy was co-headliner at points in Fear Factory's tour. Gojira is definitely better known than DTP at this point.

I was right there by Ryan's drumset so I saw the setlists for both Devy and Gojira and even got to say something to Dev and Mike St. Jean (apparently they will be back in FL by the end of the year based on his response to my comment). Maybe in a while Devy will be a headliner and you are right, a ton of people were headbanging during "Apes" and "Grace" and almost everyone jazz handed during "Animals". The VIP package was available through Gojira's tour store. All in all, I spent $100 for my brother and my tickets for a meet and greet and like a poster (that I didn't even take). I am not as angry about it as maybe my brother would be, but I can afford to overpay for a Devy show.

Where were you in crowd?
