Wasn't sure about Ih-Ah! from the teaser thing but I quite like it - good to have a little variety and it's pretty smart all told.

Dev's voice on The way Home! is stunning - it's easy to forget just how good he is until he opens up that huge voice in an almost operatic way.

Numbered! is epic - huge walls of keys & lead given space by such a beautiful chorus...and then it just heads for space with that guitar work and that huge Dev voice again. Even a tiny touch of his SYL voice to add a detail. Utterly amazing.

After my first listen I've drawn one conclusion safe to do so early - it may be pop (to a degree), it may only be a quarter of a set or it may be whatever else folks have levelled at it but it is totally & undeniably Devin Townsend right through.

I can totally understand that anybody only hearing SYL in the past and then coming to this may scratch their head initially but I can't see anybody who's been with Devin through his various periods not 'getting' most of this with ease. When you think about albums like Infinity they actually had a lot of pop elements tucked away and Dev's always known his way around a good hook or killer chorus.

For me, this slots straight into the "cracking album by Devin' category and I can't wait to get my hoodie to advertise it proudly.

Good work, DT & co.

2nd listen is grabbing me much more than the first.

9.5/10 for the album (BILB never really grabbed me and I've listened to Addicted too much ((wasn't very catchy in the first place)) so...).

Dev never disappoints.

Not listened to it all yet, but it has put me in a very good mood :)

Ryans drumming on Supercrash is fantastic.

Have a good day addicted chums

Yep, certainly seems like that. It's almost like the first listen tunes your ears then you really listen to the tracks the second time.

An even bigger yep on that one - looking that way as ever.

WTF, do we have really have to make a leak thread on Devin's official forum? Seems disrespectful to me.

I agree, it seems disrespectful. Maybe if he downloads it too and talks about it will us it would be ok. LLALWLAWLWLLWALWALAWLAWLLWA

I'm sure we wouldn't be doing this if Devin himself hadn't already brought up how he felt about potential leaks and how he knew (and was ok with) that we'd be wanting to hear it.

Add to that trying to keep spoilers for some out of the main thread and this made sense - same as for the Ki release period.

No disrespect at all - heck, most of us slapped cash down way ago - that's respect.

You guys are fucking idiots. Is it so hard to keep the leak discussion away from this board? Yeah, I know that dev said it's okay if you download it etc. But I don't think he meant this. What about having a little consideration and keep it to yourself and respect Devin. It doesn't matter if you're still buying it. But this is just fucking stupid to have a thread like this one.

It IS one of your best albums dev. I'm at the 6th track at the moment and I already love it.
Thank you. Very much.
(and I'll buy it, of course!)
