The end of Trainfire reminds me a bit of The Cranberries. Also a bit of Slade. Is that it? I think it's Slade.

Hearing something new with every listen. It keeps getting better and better to the point I don't want to listen to anything else. Feels like time that could be better spent listening to Ki.

I just couldnt help myself and i downloaded it yesterday, but i swear to god (and to myself and to devin and to everybody else) that i will buy it when it comes out.

When i first listened it, it was very strange and just pretty good, but it really just keeps on getting better and better. I feel like crying and laughing at the same time

I was waiting for this album with great expectations and it certainly didn't disappoint a single bit. I never thought Dev would do something this beautiful.Image

I just wish my fucking country had a music store that'd sell Ki, because I don't want to buy it through itunes...

When I listened to "Coast" today, I instantly loved it and tabbed the main guitar out. here it is:

The part from 3:34 to 4:17 is hard to figure out cause there are so many guitar tracks playing a similiar rythm. What I tabbed out is surely not accurate, but it sounds good this way when you play with a single guitar. Happy playing!

The more I listen to it, the more it speaks to me. Just as mushroom above said, this album is just what I needed at this point in my life. Thank you. I'm buying copies for myself as well as several other people; this is too meaningful to go unheard.

Hello,
Thanks for Ki, Devin. It's definitely not boring.I listened to it like 25 times within 2 or 3 days. Still listening to it right now. I think I'm addicted. Will buy it, and play that cd 'till it's physically dead, and buy it again.
I've never been such a fan of your music than right now, and I'm a longtime 'worshiper'. I guess I've always secretly wanted a calm Devy album.
I spend more time reading this forum than actually writing, but I thought I had to share my opinion on this, I almost need help about stopping listening to it, somehow :)

( damn, first post on a spoiler thread about an album that isn't legally out... I suck )

Hi everyone, by the way.

I don't really know what to say specifically, so I'll just rant. I've been a Devy fan since he blew me away with Infinity. After Ziltoid I was so pumped for more that I went in with incredibly high hopes. After listening to Ki, I'm so incredibly disappointed. This album is completely uninteresting to me, has weak melody compared to all previous works. I've listened to it three times now, and it's going back on the shelf because nothing ever drew me in. The title track had so much potential, but it sounds like a random arpeggiated chord mess. I don't know what happened to Hevy, but it's not in this album.

Edit: And since I don't like, no I won't buy it.

I thought I kicked my addictions, but Ki has kicked my ass, pinned me down, and won't let go.....and it feels awesome. Sorry Devin, you are wrong. I am blown away. Its like a butter cream cake that just keeps adding layers of frosting, and without being corroding.

Does anyone else feel like they can "taste" this album? Maybe it is Synesthesia or something. Like seeing sound and hearing color.

The beginning of Lady Helen is totally like Dynamics........That bass line. Notice this? This song gives me uber chills....and dammit if almost all of the song Ki doesn't have me tearing up every time with its majestic beauty. Damn him.....

I feel a weird tingling/tickly sensation when I hear this album, like it tickles my eardrums.....I have never felt these sensations this album gives me. What a rush. And all of this while sober.....amazing.

And I totally hear the Soul Driven comparison on the song Ki that people are talking about. What colors does everyone see when they hear the album?

Best lyric- "I need a brain massage"

Lots of deep blue-green. Some crimson, some lighter red-orange. Some color like light sand. Purple-black like space. A little gray and white. And a few other here and there.

I don't really ever see color, but I like to see what the sounds look like. Honeslty, I probably attribute the album as a whole to a lot of purple, black, blue, white and red.
