I often find myself wondering if there's a way to create a 7.1 Surround mix of Alien. Shit'd be IMMENSE.

all the master tapes should still be around. The Great Flood only happened the year prior to Alien's release, so the only lost stuff is from before then.

the problem is that the market for surround sound (studio) music is quite humble. it'd have to be some kind of special anniversary release or something.

Though I've been a Devhead for about 5 years I've only started getting into SYL over the last few months. Alien is definitely an album that speaks to me. I'm at a point in my life where I'm settling down and the pressure to make babies and get serious is starting to become a reality. Though I'm excited about it, there is this kind of angry side of me that just relates to this a lot. Possessions is definitely my favourite.

I like it all, but Skeksis, sweet lord Skeksis. It's just so crushing.
The section from "I'd like to take it easy" to "I do not know the words" gives me chills every time.
And that outro is the headbangin'-est section of anything ever.
