So I was just checking out some of Dev's latest tweets (finishing Decon sounds like a journey into madness a la Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now, LOL) and I noticed an odd statement on one of them. If you check out this link to a picture of some sheet-music for the choir parts of Decon, he suggests that the next thing coming is Ziltoid 2! I wondered if I had missed some news around here, so I had a look around, but there seems to be no mention of it. Did he unintentionally let some plans for the future slip??

When he took over Metalsucks.net in 2009 for the Addicted release date, he announced it.

Yep, we knew about this already though he hasn't mentioned it much since his take over of metalsucks.net. Glad to see it see the light of day again. He's been working so hard lately on Decon and Ghost that there is probably no time to look too far into the future yet.

He said that he'd do some kind of electronic album (dubstep? please?) and then start Z2.

Ah! Thanks for sorting out that little mystery, guys. Because, yeah- I would have been very surprised if he was actually writing anything at the moment. I mean, I'm starting feel sorry for the dude with all the stress around Decon, deadlines, ZTO Rockband, rehearsing, touring, and fuck knows what else. I wonder where he'll even find the time to write cd booklet notes for these albums, hehe. Shit, he's editing vocals on the damn PLANE at the moment!

cool news. 80 minutes of material? i'm assuming that includes a couple of bonus tracks to be released in the boxset or something, or maybe just extra material to trim down? either way, it seems that this will probably be a pretty long album, 60-70 minutes hopefully?

wonder if Chuck Billy will have a cameo as the Planet Smasher?

If there was ever an album I think has the potential to be even more amazing than what Deconstruction's shaping up to be, it's this.

Ziltoid vs Cthulu

Seriously want that Dubstep album, the more genres Dev wants to try out the better in my opinion.
And as for Ziltoid 2. Forget Cthulu, I want Ziltoid Vs Dethklok.

I have to admit it. I have no belief in a Ziltoid 2. That is like making a 2 of realy good movie (it works out now and then but...). If he does a Z2 and pulls it of I will build and start the first Devin Townsend Church

Z² is now going to be ZTV. So don't ponder about what it's gonna sound like...ponder about what it's gonna LOOK like :B
