Yes, we're doing a graphic novel. Just deciding on an artist who's willing to take it on...no one confirmed yet.

Alright... so please excuse me while I adjust my nerd glasses here, but I need to reiterate how much I am in love with this idea. You say no one is confirmed yet, and so I have to ask are you still looking around? The reason I ask is that as a giant comic book/graphic novel nerd, there are a lot of people out there that you may want to think about asking who have giant fanbases but would probably come rather cheap. So anyone else who has suggestions in this realm (And think realistically, it's not like Dev's going to hire away someone who is an A-lister for Marvel or DC) ought to speak up!

The following is in no way a plug for anything I have anything to do with other than that I greatly enjoy their work:

Chiefly I'm thinking about Chris Hastings and the rest of his team that work on The Adventures of Dr. McNinja http://drmcninja.com/index.html. A reason I suggest him in particular that for what he may lack in hyper detailed artistic ability, is an uncanny surreal sense of humor that actually fits the tone of a project like Ziltoid quite well. His inker Kent Archer, as well as his fiance Carly Monardo are also really quite talented in the art realm (Carly works on the pulp-styled Adult Swim series, The Venture Brothers).

Why they'd be a great fit: The current storyline in Dr. McNinja is about a magic motorcycle that has possessed the good doctor because it houses the spirit of a unicorn named Sparklelord, who is a slayer of worlds. Sparklelord was described in the comic recently as a cross between Genghis Khan, the Atom Bomb, Adolf Hitler, and Seabisquit. I don't really know what else to say.

So it depends on kinda what you're lookin' for Dev. If you want to write the thing yourself, I say go for whatever great artist you can get, but if you want a great team with a dedicated fanbase that would be actually really interested in a character like Ziltoid, I say go for these guys.

Jacen Burrows is my favourite comic book artist, but I think he has an exclusive contract with Avatar atm. He has quite a diverse style but some of his stuff would suit ziltoid imo. Something like how he did Chronicles of Wormwood.

MAKE IT PERFECT!

Me and Prex tried to make a graphic novel back at the start of the summer. We did a story board and began work on it but then she moved to a different county and we got lazy and the whole thing fell to pieces, really. Twas fun while we were at it though! I say we, she did most of it. She's the artistic to my autistic.

I'm in no way knowledgeable of quality graphic artists so I can't really suggest anyone but am certainly looking forward to getting a copy regardless of whoever is chosen to put the story to paper.

It'd be pretty cool if, whenever/if ever Ziltoid II happens there could be a bundle with an accompanying graphic novel, depending of course on the success of the the whole shebang the first time around.

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST, ZILTOID TRILOGY CONFIRMED!

Not sure how far this has gone yet, but I'd like to throw the name of Todd Mcfarlane out there. Yeah I know, someone says Mcfarlane in a a room fool of comic geeks and the room erupts and polarizes. However, he has done some brilliant work in his day, he has great people working for him, and he has that rock/metal connection. He has done album covers and videos for Korn, Pearl Jam, Disturbed, and Iced Earth, and has put out some kick-ass action figures to boot. Plus he's Canadian, eh?

You might want to try freelance illustrators they do anything lol ^-^ I know I would once I finishs uni if I could draw comics or Ziltoid I do it lol but there some cool illustrtors in the AOI association of illustrtors http://www.theaoi.com/ although I never heared from them and I was aking about something

We need some news!

Since I'm not the only one who does this, I would like to suggest Rafael Grampa(http://furrywater.wordpress.com/) as the artist. People like Todd McFarlane aren't fit for the assignment in my opinion, they should stick to making muscled monster with slime with unrealistic ridiculous proportions. Rafael Grampa is a fairly new artist to publish comics, his first one 'Mesmo Delivery' shows he has an extraordinary feel for action, humor and color.

I love Grampá's stuff, but to me graphic novel ZIltoid should be tacky and obnoxious as hell, just like the alien.

Why not get whoever did the original CD illustrations? I'd like to see it done in that style, since that is what I picture in my head now...
