Captain Spectacular?

Haha, I couldnt picture him as anyone else

Had that in my mind all the time
Listening with headphones, eyes closed,
I could see Zapp blazing towards Ziltoid, indeed

They are/feel so much alike

Yep same. Funny that. And I picture the Planet Smasher as Unicron from the Transformers movie (the older animated one).

I must agree, Zapp did spring to mind upon the first few listens.

I don't why but the Planet Smasher I seem to picture as like a giant Choobacka of some sorts.

Or a Yeti like creature.

Yup the first time I heard the album I pictured him as Zapp. Pretty crazy

is it just me or does Captain Spectacular seem to change? He goes from this big tough guy to this sentimental, emotional guy. fits Zapp perfectly.

Yep you're right, he does change, in By Your Command he's all macho with his "We represent the planet Earth" speech, then during Solar Winds he changes into the emotional Captain Spectacular with the "I, Captain Spectacular, hereby give my good word" part.

You know, I'm quite surprised I remember all of that.

For the Planet Smasher, I imagine one of the planet jackersfrom invader zim, but I dont think anyone else watches that. For Captain Spectacular, I just see a buff dude in a futuristic Captain outfit.
