I agree with the "not to blame" thing, I hear the same.

-EXCELLENT! Have you prepared the Planet Smasher?
-Yeeees, I have

I hear, "Yeeesssss, my looooord!" (And again with different inflection after Ziltoid's next line.

I hear "Yes commander" the first time and "Yes my lord" after "Indeed, On my word"

Oops, I should have read the rest of thread. Sorry, BaldMosher! Didn't mean to steal your fire.

Doesn't it go "He's gonna be unleashing a shitstorm on us"? That would make a little more sense, and it flows better.

You know, that's what I had thought too. I'll have to listen again. But, I have heard it both ways now.

BTW, Dev moans or mumbles something in there near the middle of the song that I can't tell if it's lyrics or just vocalizing.

Yeah, look at those hyperdrive lyrics. They dont seem to relevant to Ziltoid. Do you think he was writing something vaguely from his personal life?

Just throwing it in there? I dunno. I'm under the impression that each song moves the story forward somehow. It could be. I mean, I wouldn't presume to put limits on what Dev does. But, it would mess with the overall thematic consistency just to put a personal song in a concept record. Actually, hasn't Dev described it as a story set to music? I want to say that he referred to it as a space opera or something like that. I could be wrong though.

Well, I've been given the impression that Ziltoid mirrors Devy in some ways, so no doubt every song likely has some bearing on his character or thoughts, even if it is called Ziltoidia Attaxx!! :)

Oh it's no problem dude! No worries. Call me Baldy for short...that's how everyone knows me at the SYL boards and I should get it changed here also so people will know who I am!

Is Ziltoid Dev's alter ego? His secret identity?

Probably, like every record Dev makes, it's an alter ego.
Ziltoid even has the skullet-dreads ;)

I want no heroes! Here's gonna be a legion of shitstorm on us! We gotta be ready! They're coming over the horizon as we speak! We gotta be ready to take them down! Hold your position, men! Do not fire until I tell you to fire! Have you got that?
-Yes, Captain!
-Right, hold your position! Ziltoid, he comes!

Thats how I hear those parts, makes more sense that way too.

And, "hes gonna BRING a legion of shitstorm on us" makes more sense, but it actually does sound like he says it the way typed in the quote above, on the song.

I'm still standing with "He's gonna be unleashing a shitstorm on us!"

"A legion of shitstorm" doesn't sound right, both in sound and meaning, to me.

But we won't know for sure until the album comes out officially...or Tracy enlightens us.

I agree with that, but in many cases, songs lyrics don't make much sense. So in such cases you dismiss things as being normal in the context of lyrics for a song, but not so much if you were to use them in a convorsation with another person.

And upon listening closer right now...(family has gone out, so the music has been turned up) the word sounds pretty damn close to "Unleashing".

So given the chance to hear it properly I'd have to say "Unleashing" sounds right. And like I said above, I agree, it does make more sense that way.

- And just to be sure with earphones - "He is gonna be Unleashing a shitstorm on us" sounds exact.

Together we unlock the secrets behind Ziltoid's speech patterns! Perhaps we will be spared from the shitstorm...at least a couple minutes longer than others...

If we get caught, we could always divert his attention long enough to escape by throwing coffee beans at him...He'll probably get down on his knees scrambling around picking them up like someone whos just dropped spare change all over the floor.

If not, a good kick in the nads should do the trick!.
