Or is the BTBAM/Cynic tour the one that you've been talking about?
Just curious, since the BTBAM + You one isn't coming to my area.

He more than likely will do a proper headlining tour once the BTBAM tour and euro festivals are finished. Hopefully it'll be smallish sized venues (500-1000 cap) so it'll be nice and intimate :) (IE I think you should look into Derby Students Union Dev... Just sayin is all... Worked when I asked about Bloodstock :D :P )

It would be nice. I just bought 4 tickets to the BTBAM show here in Jan so for the whole family but the only one we are interested to see is Devin. I'm kind of worried that January being a long way off and Dev being an opening act that he could have a change of plans and I wasted my $.

Can't wait to see the Dev.

I personally don't want Devin to headline just yet. Looking at the big picture, jumping feet first into 90+ minute sets first time on the road in 3 or 4 years ain't a great idea. I've seen Dev put on amazing performances with severe bronchial infections while near passing out from exhaustion. However, it's probably best to get his feet a bit wet and work out any potential kinks in shorter bursts.
Devin isn't just out there advertising for potential new fans. In a way, he's auditioning for promoters as well. Those are the dudes who book you for dates and hand over your money at the end of the night. Many of them won't be there in person. However, they *will* hear the buzz about "that guy who put on the amazing set and, despite being the opener, clearly had a good 100 people there just for him-some of whom knew each other from a gig two nights previous that was 500 miles away!" from staff or friends who were there.
Yes Devin *has* a name for himself. However, as a touring entity/draw that is going on four years old. I for one would like him to headline in the position to demand a guarantee. That way, he can cover his bills and maybe you know... make an actual living wage.
