The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

I'm sitting in my room now, 0:54 AM in the morning (Danish time)

The album Synchestra has never sounded so divine to me.. It's like everything from the Vai-solo through the middle of Gaia which is the song now playing.. it's just so purple-ishly, forresty, green and light sounding. I dig it, alright.

I read somewhere that it was the first album Devin recorded "stress free".. in the wake of recent realizations in my life, and a choice to quit my studies in Computer Science to pursue music for a while, the album represents personal favorite/highpoint in a catalog that is nothing short of amazing to me.

I've recently come across a very cool YouTube portal, with a spiritual and new agey message. This video here is discussing the existence of some alien 'life form' supposedly living amongst us here on planet earth (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DZRJMTH41U).. Couldn't help but notice her Ziltoidian accent, when speaking about the "humons", but of course she has been contacted be the same benevolent creatures, that stroke the ingenious mind of Devin Townsend, so it all makes very good sense. In some of her other videos, she addresses the concept of multidimentionality, which is also briefly touched upon in the Ziltoid fable... Yes, the aliens come from higher dimensions. I hope they're here to help

Make up your own mind, and don't take everything too seriously. But prepare for great change in the time to come :D

**rambling**

I have a weird experience in regards to Synchestra.

It' was on constant repeat for the 2 weeks it took to write my thesis, it seemed to help. Maybe it was that 'New Dev Glow'.

But, I have never felt a connection to it like with most his other solo stuffs, for me Synchestra does not have that cohesive/thematic feeling like OM/Infinity/Physicist/Terria.

For me Synchestra is the odd one out in the line up of Devin solo albums (Ziltoid is still in the family, but more like a 2nd cousin)

Perhaps I'll devote some more dedicated listening time.

Some astronauts claimed, they saw light beings/orbs in space, during missions for NASA.

Ziltoid is a coffee lovin reptilian with a real talent. He should find even more dimensions on the new album.

The 4th album from DTP is gonna be a full new age stuff. Surely new dimension in music for Dev and us.

That's because Ocean Machine is the greatest form of art ever created, right up there with Arrested Development, the Sistene Chapel, and the Wheel.

The theory of relativity allows for time travel into the future, going at high speeds returning to earth only aging slightly compared to your peers. Einstein's theory is a theory of space and time, it should be no surprise that black holes offer, in concept, a way to travel through space and time as well.

Just one of the many cool things I'll be thanking Einstein for a couple of hundred year from now...in the future.

If only I had something to power my spaceship...

I think I forgot Ocean Machine for a moment... Do I have to mention this album changed my life?

Synchestra has a special status with me since it was the first of Devin's stuff I listened to, and I it has taken almost 5 years to make me appreciate it this much.

Music is wierd.. But fun to play and listen to!

meaning ocean machine is still one of his best, however for the most part the others have been getting better and better. i never thought he'd top terria, but i think synchestra slightly passed it. and i think ziltoid is even better than synchestra.

that's an overgeneralization but ya get what i mean.

<3

I didn't sketch and get a tattoo based on the album artwork for no reason.
