You must make a real promotion.

When I say real, I mean huge fuckin thing. This is around 20 solid albums that this man coming with and I don't see impact, I always wanted to see, because of this shield of shitness coming, every year in music, worldwide.

I'm tired of the world, not knowing who the fuck is Devin. These pussies on MTV, or mainstream shit like that, prefer to hear new Avril Lavigne and Coldplay album, while the true art, powered with real energy, going on other plan and that's why I think they need a punch in the cunt.

Time to hit them with bomb, made of real music... C'mon Century Media. Make it good !

Did you actually send that to Century Media, or did you just post it here? Cos I doubt they read the boards. :P

Well, he did get a lot of publicity in Strapping Young Lad.
The problem with that was...
Well, they made him look like he was a crazy monster dood. Publicity Devin didn't want.
"Devin the crazy" and nonsense, haha. Making a lot of money off of him for who he's not.
At least, that's what I got from this interview I heard around the time of Ziltoid...

That's why they need to know. That's why Century Media needs to work on it.

DTP era is a good time to show it and let people hear, what straight music sounds like.

Well sir, obviously the real issue is that the majority of people are casual music listeners. This was always the case (Toto being more popular than Floyd at the time), and now with the internet, it's gone nuts.
A lot of those people wouldn't like Devin if they heard him anyway, is what I'm saying.

I think casual music listeners is a brainless mass of poo, these days.

I don't expect them to like Devin, he's too transgressional for them... I expect them to hear him, so they can be in deep shock and confront their little world in the box with the art, that is behind the curtain.

This is the job for no other than record company and so called distributors.

I have hopeful views that everyone can enjoy Devin.

I got the majority of my school into his music, they aren't exactly fan bois/girls, but they do like what I showed them by him.

Man they're just people who don't care all that much about music. Are you a hardcore fan of every type of media? I'm just a hardcore gamer and music dude, and I sure hope no film guys think I'm a brainless mass of poo. Then again if you just mean people who listen to some of the more accessable modern music then I can agree, but I'm pretty sure the majority of people just listen to alright-but-not-fantastic classic rock.
EDIT: also actually some really good stuff like Pink Floyd and Rush which I guess is because while it was highly original it doesn't sound like something explosively new now, unlike King Crimson or anything that actually is new and original.

I've never thought of you as a brainless mass of poo. You don't need to know every movie, if you know the good ones... and that's the issue.

They need to know a good music.

Century Media should pay you a money for what you're doing.

Great job on the front !

Lots of my friends love Dev, but lots don't :P I guess he's a marmitey man...

He's done pretty well in reflection to a lot of other bands, I think it's great that he's as popular as he is.

Also, it's kind of dickish to tell the rest of the world that their music sucks and ours is the best (even though Dev is my favorite artist).

I think the thing is as follows:

We all know the music Devin Townsend makes is way better than all that shitty popular music you see on the television nowadays,

But... Others just don't see that! They don't hear the emotions in his music, they don't hear the passion that goes within it!

We should feel very lucky that WE DO understand it and that we are able to enjoy Devin's music while others can't!
