Help with singing/screaming

Hey Devin or anybody else who is a great singer, I've got a question..

I'm a multi-instrumentalist, but I've been trying really hard over the past few months to improve my singing. I'm just really not that great at it, and I was hoping you could help. Anybody who knows a lot about singing, could you provide tips as far as breathing, projection, and pitch? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

And Devin, out of both cruirousity and for my own musical benefit, when you do your screams are you actually hurting your throat at all or is it a really low volume kind of thing? OK, that was an awkwardly worded question. To put it bluntly- how do you do it?

Thanks guys.

I'd recommend getting some classical singing lessons under your belt, they'll help infinitely more than strangers giving tips over the internet

Regardless, as a clean singer and a growler the biggest piece of advice I can give is to take things slowly and try to work on one aspect of your voice at a time. It will take time for it to sound as nice as you'd like it to but keep at it.
