I found this page ->
http://twitter.com/DevinTownsendI'm not sure if it's you Dev but if it is, you should twitter more often! If it isn't you then you should sign up and start. Mini updates on what kind of tea you're drinking, food eaten, bowel movements, etc. (Yes this is what a lot of people do on Twitter) Pointless? For most people. Awesome? If you're twittering...indeed.
Anyone else Twitter with the rest of the twats?

I see, my fault. From reading your thread it looks like my ass is about to get handed to me. Not a lot of twitter fans on here I see. There are so many more uses for it than people know I'm afraid.

Twitter's for people who have a lot of free time and want to be celebrities.
Devin Townsend has no free time and does not want to be a celebrity.
So.

You might very well be, but bear in mind that I work in computers, and am therefore a complete nerd that is more likely to come across said annoying terms than most.

Whew, that's okay then. I may be Methuselah but I at least I am not a nerd.I have enough trouble keeping up with the argot of the Night Garden and Peppa pig. Current buzzwords here are:
Bottom.
Pants.
Pie.

I think I'm following 'Dev' on Twitter, I just assume it's him. Since there's no updates it doesn't matter if it's not? Could be his webmaster? I know a couple of people who have small businesses have snapped up anything (emails, social websites etc) with their company name on it to stop anyone else from using it, even though they don't actively use the sites or addresses.
'Web 2.0
Blogosphere
Webinar'
Never heard of any of those.
'Bottom.
Pants.
Pie.'
Use those words all the time.

twitter is a display of unwarranted self importance for people who feel the need to let wads of people know exactly what insignificant things they're up to, because god knows it'll never come up in conversation because god knows nobody cares if you're eating cereal, or "thinking", or whatever minute codes you put into your twitter status.
i'd really rather he didn't and am personally quite content with the updates he gives here, which may almost be a bit too much!

Twitter is nothing. You think it is what you're saying. You've obviously not spent time with it, because you're way off.
