Hello,

I'm wondering if the white tele wich can be seens on ziltoid promo video is a ron wood model or the devin custom tele by ESP?

Does anyone have any info about this guitar?

The Ron wood model is not available in white, also, devin ‘s guitar doesn’t have pickboard, and no screw holes as well, so maybe it was repainted or custom made.

Looks like the signature on the headstock is different, maybe devin signature? I would love to get on of these guitars...

Steph.

wow !
Thank you lucab.
And thank you for your quick reply.

This guitar is gorgeous, do you know if we can oder one from ESP with the same spec ?
If I can have the exact same one with devin signature, that would be a dream...
Except the EMG and white paint, its really close from a ron wod model, i m surprised that the body is not in mahogany.

1 piece body, no back routing and 2*EMG, of course it sounds hot !

Is there any reason you quit endorsing ESP guitars Devin? Was it just that the deal was over and you wanted to play other guitars or was it a deal you wanted to get out of. Since both you and Jed stopped playing ESP's. Well, maybe not stopped but, aren't on the ESP artist list anymore.

Also, playing the Stephen Carpenter style Horizons, is that pickup configuration something you prefer?

I think "rock log" is my new favorite descriptor for a guitar.

ESP are amazing guitars, some of the best...(imo)

Peavey however does one of EVERYTHING, amps, guitars, PAs, drums, mics, software, preamps etc...

They just bought Budda and Trace Elliot etc and are expanding is some killer ways.

In terms of recession as well, Peavey was the first amp I ever bought (Backstage Plus) and I used the 5150 for years. Promoting and helping to design something reasonable yet very good makes more sense to me then pimping a one of a kind 'piece' that no one could afford. I want to inspire folks to play, and make equipment that works very well, sounds great and lasts a long time.

I have every guitar I could ever need...as well as amps...but PV has made real ARTISTIC effort with me, inspiring and guiding my plans, and sending me what I need...A PA, or a guitar or pedal or amp , bass whatever...As an artist it's a dream.

Plus they are very intuitive and quite powerful...I think in terms of what it means to promote my music, it makes alot of sense.

The guitars theyve made for me are cool looking and sound killer...I'd stand on a mountaintop for them, NO COMPANY has ever 'gotten' what I do, so it's incredible satisfying and humbling.

id be very inspired to play if you gave me lessons :D

Seriously tho, your sound is what ive always been looking for in music. When i heard for the first time i said to myself, if i made music, thats what id want it to sound like. i just wish that i had the oppurtunity to learn to play when i was young. :(

The best part of that video is when Devin makes a terrible joke and just looks into the camera and says 'it's been a long day' and his eyes are just pleading for the cameraman to make it end.

The singing advice is pretty good though - what with technology nowadays Dev should do one of these on his own terms.

I know he doesn't use the 5150 anymore but I really cannot believe he had the mids set to 0...
