What a cool guy! It's hard to believe that such a humble, soft spoken person has such a mean set of pipes :P

I saw him at the mall where I work, and we talked for a couple minutes. I mentioned I used to work with Ryan Van Poederooyen. He also said that he's hard at work on the new album, and it sounds very exciting!

I'm sorry this had to be my first post (I registered a few weeks ago, but I'm pretty forum shy,) but I'm just so star-struck.

Come on, there are worse things one could report on his or her first post

So... You didn't get any new details about the things Dev's currently working on - mainly The Mighty Masturbator, of course - which you want to share with us?

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Well apparently it's not called The Mighty Masturbator anymore, but Ziltoid the Omniscient (I know Ziltoid was another side project he was working on, but maybe he merged them?) and basically he said it has the feel of a Strapping record, which is surprising, because I was expecting something more Infinity-esque.

I hope I didn't misunderstand him and I'm not spreading misinformation!

I didn't want to pry too much, but I'm excited as hell!

Interesting, to say the least. When the new songs he started writing fot this project - no matter what it's going to be called - where announced on his site, it said something of a mix between Infinity and Terria. When Devin talked about it on this forum he already mentioned that it contained elements which would also fit Strapping... Hm.

The guessing goes on :nils:

EDIT: How on earth (I have to use this phrase as long as I still can) did I oversee this:

Met his greatness a couple of times. Once though a friend who was acting as his guitar tech at a gig in 2001, and again maybe a year or so ago a few blocks away from a local venue with his wife... Nervous as fuck both times, but I did show him my "Soundscapes" guitar pick...
