This guy's track record of quality...album after album after brilliant album...is quite without peer over the last deacde.
With such a great spectrum of recorded work to reflect upon - I think the guy has earned a bit of a breather. He can rest on his laurels, and concentrate on increasing Canada's population.

im wondering how long it will take for him to go back to making music

great time to be taking that break too.
he's just put out one album that we'll all be sorting through for awhile, with another about to come out. plenty to tide us over for a good while.

I think it contradicts with what RVP says on his new website:

Devin already has new ideas for another album which we will be jamming on sometime soon, the man never stops !!!

I dont think Devin means that he will be turning his back on music, just recording things. Its not like he is just going to stop having ideas!

However, this must be the first 'break' the man has ever had! I think we can only agree that he more than deserves it.

And I imagine that when he does come back, he will have had a lot to think about!

I think it's safe to say we'll still be here when he returns. Just don't take too long .

We can take turns to shave Lars during the hiatus.

And as I posted on Blabbermouth, even if he calls it quits as a recording artist and concentrates on his production job, I'd be totally satisfied with his career and his string of flawless albums.
