Headphones for Bass Drops

I recently bought these:

Sennheiser PMX 200

I thought they'd do the trick for bass drops as they were around £30 and for the most part they do well. However, i've noticed they can't handle some of them and it comes out as a sucking sound then a forced fizzle.

Can anyone recommend any headphones for listening to the DTB?

Honestly, I've used http://froogle.google.com/froogle_clust ... coring=mrd these headphones for a few years now, and they're the only ones I've ever owned that have never fizzled out from bass. These headphones have strong solid sound and have never crapped out from extreme musical conditions.

I recommend the Grado SR series headphones. The 60's are the cheapest, but the 80's are great.

For earbuds, Shure E series (E2c, etc) with foamy cuffs.

Etymotic earbuds are supposed to be good too....

Mmmmm for sure! I have just "burnt in" my SR 80's and they are sweet.

It's just so hard to keep the bastards turned down!

They are worth every penny!

+1 on the 80's, which I got for Xmas. Grado rules. Highly detailed. I wish I had a nice little headphone amp, sometimes, though.

Grado rules!

I have SR125 and they sound amazing. In fact, I was just listening to 'Alien' yesterday with them, and it was the highlight of the day! :)
