It was an awesome show, DTB did

Truth
Regulator
Gaia
Pixillate
Vampolka
Vampira

I wish they had more time, vampolka was really funny and devins pre song commentary before it was funny also "HERES A C CHORD!". I drove from michigan because DTB isn't playing michigan this year, the newport was pretty nice though and in a way better town than detroit. I got to talk to Ryan and Brian, both were really cool. Brian gave me the new "Evenlight" cd "fuck yeah" it's a great CD, again thanks brian. What a cool guy, really laid back and easy to talk to. Ryan was cool as hell also. No rock egos to speak of whatsoever. I hope to see them again soon.

Great show, short set.

I was impressed with the clarity of Devin's vocals and Ryans drumming.

Sounded as if the bass went away on Vampira.

Been to quite a few shows at the Newport and it is hit and miss on the "sound".

Big fan going into the show, huge fan after!

Mr. Earworm,

Were you in the front row (floor) far left?
If you were, I was right above you (to your left) standing against the rail (great sight line to the stage)

I saw your pic on myspace and thought you looked like the guy to my right, I was with my girlfriend (blonde) and I was wearing an orange hoodie

Anywho, great show, loved the solo to open the set ...

Next time dev comes to columbus, instead of eating at macdonalds he should try sliders at white castle ...

I think I was right next to you Maddoggy :D

Was wearing a grey osu hoodie with SYL t-shirt.

That was an awesome spot!

When that one guy "crept" his way right next to us after DTB, I was so tempted to toss him over the railing and into the pit

Cooool!

I am right there with ya ...

I waited in line for 1.25 hr to get that spot ... dam camera had a dead battery (what a rookie) Would have got some great shots.

Last show at the Newport (Soulfly) the security was giving people taking pictures grief, but I did not see any of that the other night, figures ...

Cool man,

Hope to see you at another show

Rock on !

Hi, yep that was me. I had a decent spot there but i wish i was up at the very front, i waited in line for almost 2 hours and drove for three it was well worth it though.

It was a great show, i usually don't talk to bands at shows because i don't want to bother them. But I couldn't help myself this time since DTB is probably my favorite band at the moment. Awesome show i'll always remember, not so much because of the actual show but rather the conversations with brian and ryan, really really cool guys. I was on cloud 9 all after the show it was great. I can't wait for DTB to headline one of these days.

I am the same way about approaching band members, etc.

I did read that early on in the current tour with opeth, dark tranquility could not make it to the show and dtb played 1 1/2 hr.

I actually had delusions that dark tranquility was going to open and dtb to follow.

I am glad you had a good experience !!!!!!

Great chatting with you earwormer!

Are you listening to anything today?

I am on a mastodon kick (and DTB)

I've been listening to mainly synchestra lately and the new evenlight cd. It's funny you mentioned mastodon, I asked brian what he was listening to these days. He said he's really been into mastodon lately. I have leviathan and i like it alot, the drummers insane.

brann daylor is sick (check out earlier mastodon as well / lifesblood and remission)

saw them at ozzfest last summer (again, short sets suck) Ozzfest in general was ugly ...

I had more fun with my daughter at the project revolution show!

tried to pick up the new mastodon dvd (released tues.), but sold out everywhere I looked ...

have to order off the web ...

i have a random mix going on my media player and I am realizing that I have some crappy music stored on my pc : )

i will have to check out evenlight!!

I drove all the way from central Illinois to be at the Cincinati and Columbus shows... Hell, I think I saw both of you guys there at the Newport! We were in the front row perfect center (but also waited in line for an hour and a half) and was actually in line behind you Maddoggy! You remember our homeboy serenade? "Heavy metal is in the House!" God, was that awful! Yeah, so we got hundreds of pictures from both shows, and will be sharing them soon, once we filter through them all. Hours before the show we went into the record store around the corner and caught Mikael and Martin from Opeth, Mikael was buying 2 vinyl copies of Kind Diamond's "Abigail" album, and we got to chat with them for a few minutes before soundcheck. That was great, but we also got to talk with Brian (who also gave us copies of the new Evenlight, thanks Brian!), Mike, and Dave during the Dark Transuckity set. And once we thought it couldn't get any better, we met The Dev himself after the show who was still feeling quite under the weather, but just as down to earth and metal as ever. I will never forget this trip. BEST EVER!!! I was still in la-la-land the next morning for the almost 8 hour drive home!

All the way from Illinois and Michigan ... that rocks risemoonlapsevertigo and earwormer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If a brothers got the time, can't you gimme a dime"

Ahh, the great street poetry of a Columbus panhandler!

The memories!

The reference to Dark Transuckity is righton.

Shit I feel cheated! Everyone I have talked to on the forum has a great one on one experience with some of the band members.

I have to put my shyness a side and get with it!

I wish I would have talked to you both more at the show, glad you all had a good experience and made it back home safe.

Rock the fuck on
