i'm trying to order tickets for the opeth/darktranq/dtb concert in hartford but the site i used was gonna charge me almost $20 extra for a service fee. i dont buy tickets often so i dont have much to compare it to but doesnt that seem like a lot? does anyone know a place i could get tickets for the feb 24th show in hartford without crazy charges? or is that normal.
thanks for any info.

Try buying them in person at the box office of the venue.

They're adding charges for shipping. UPS shipping is always a ripoff when ordering online with Ticketmaster.

Also there might be parking fees. If its a small theater though, parking shouldn't cost that much. Opeth isn't playing a 20,000 seat pavilion.

nah, parking'll be an extra 5 bucks behind the Webster (at least it was for SYL last spring--last time I was there). Unless you go to the theater (way inconvenient for those of us who don't live right around there), it's hard to get around those fees, but they pissed me off too. I'm taking my daughter, and the tix are $17 each, but the total at tickets.com was over $49, so we could have paid for most of another ticket for what the fees came to. Do you live near a Price Chopper Supermarket? for some reason Webster tickets are being sold there too, minus the many fees (I think). The nearest one is somewhere is just a little too far from me, so I sucked it up and bought online.
What the hell, we get Dev and Opeth, so it's worth whatever it costs, right?

Not yet at least
I usually buy my tickets at the door or from a local metal records store in order to avoid the enormous Ticketbastard fees.
