We all change our minds about things all the time. Plus Dev seems to say that the current one is his favourite when he is doing it (except Physicist)

Which records (if any) of Dev's records come from what could be considered a "normal time"?

I'm a new fan of your stuff man. It's so honest. Looking forward to seeing SYL in Vancouver

That's understandable. I've found that Listening to Terria nowadays makes me quite sad. In a comfortable way, I might add. It's still my favorite, though...

Devin also said that he considered some of the Physicist material to be the bets that he's written, but I think his perception changed a little when it was poorly received by some fans. Which is sad, because I consider it to be among his best work. Just an amazingly solid album from start to finish...

One thing about some of the stuff on Terria is that it seemed more personal then the other albums. Although I'm sure a majority of Dev's stuff is personal in some way or another.

I was just listening to some Physicist stuff the other day for the first time in quite a while. God damn - Material and Namaste are two of the most mind-blowingly cool metal songs ever. Terria's probably my favorite album overall, but those two songs are among the top by any band, Devin or otherwise. I'd love to hear them with the level of production on AE or Alien.

I have been very outspoken in respect to my love of Infinity, so that is a pleasing thing to hear.

Ocean Machine is understandable when me and friend sit back and look at a new dev album we always remove ocean machine from comparison the album was just too astonishing that album just changed my perspective on the way I thought and my attitude to life, It is the only album I can still listen to and be totally moved in every way, I will never tire of it. but when thats said I love everything devin has done, which is why he is my favourite musician the only way I could describe his music is its the perfect collection of sound!

understandable, why ocean machine is a fave. I also want to state on devs comments of "stading and screaming at people" although I love SYL there is something about DTB that just pulls my heart strings so dev I pay to hear you sing at me! ;)

Who's that "The Dev" guy? Ocean Machine clearly is Townsend's best work, damnit!

Uhm yes, german "humor", I know... :coucou:

Mr. Townsend, please tour Synchestra properly; the "All In The Family" tour two years ago was outstanding! Not often that I am standing front row at a concert with my eyes closed, as I did during Seventh Wave...

And what about another promo tour in Germany including a stop in Heidelberg like in the Infinity days? I could show you some beautiful and inspiring places here! And I'd buy you a beer. And me a t-shirt. And everything.
