What type of music could you play and not look like a cock with the 3rd guitar down? Yeah its a nice piece of art but as an eletric guitar...

I'm probably in the minority when it comes to taste in guitars as a metal fan, in that I'm not really a fan of pointy guitars. I'm more of a fan of the super-strat body shape.

That said, being pointy wouldn't put me off buying a guitar. Although a V is probably of limited use to me, because I'm not in a proper band, and therefore don't have to play live, so I always play sitting down.

In other guitar-related news: drool, must sell kidneys so I can buy this without getting castrated for spending my wedding funds http://www.proguitarshop.com/product.ph ... goryID=394

I'm not sure but there might be a bridge mounted piezo on that one.

Imo pointy guitars rock hard on stage...but suck at home since they are uncomfortable sitting down, at least for me.
Explorer model would be nice but Strat sounds awesome.

Brings new meaning to the term "wanking" :P

And I'm really looking forward to seeing this signature guitar, I saved up quite a bit of money last year so I could buy a new guitar and it's great timing that the month I decide to start looking for a guitar I hear that Devy's making a signature. Cheers Dev :)

Oh my... 8 strings?! That would take some getting used to, eh?

In that same link, there's this guitar:

Reminds me of Devin's 7 string guitar a little bit :D But alas, it only has six strings.

I would be for a bass chick with fat sausage fingers who's only used to playing half that ;)

I think it would be for most people, but I've been playing a 7 string for a couple of years now, and I also have comically large hands, so I don't think the size of the neck will be that much of an issue for me.

I'm at the stage where I'd like a bit of extra range, as I've been listening to a lot of Meshuggah and newer Devin Townsend stuff.

I have the opposite issue. My hands are tiny, relatively speaking. I don't like Gibson necks because I can't grip 'em right.

Oh for sure! Even 5 string basses are a little intimidating. I may have fat fingers, but my hands are still small... 4 strings is plenty!!! :D
8 string bass though - that would be a serious challenge, although they (can) sound superb!

Oh ok - that makes sense. Good luck getting that guitar though, it's not cheap - but it looks beautiful. Any organs you can part with?
