Physicist. It's a very special album and sort of the missing link between SYL and DT. The best of both worlds, maybe...

But having said that, I must concur that all his albums are of extraordinary quality and it's (as I say over and over again) a mood thing. Today it's Physicist. Tomorrow it's Terria. And yesterday it was Punky Brüster...

P.S. ...But I just don't get Ocean Machine. Yeah, there are some great songs on there, but most of it sounds kinda... ..."ordinary", if you see what I mean. Well, there's always "Regulator", which is an amazing track, but overall...

I think it would be Ocean Machine... With my fave song probably being Seventh Wave!

I would have to say Ocean Machine because I really appreciate the dynamic and the emotional thread running through it. I've had some really brilliant times listening to that album.
Accelerated Evolution though, is one that grows on me every time I hear it (like now :D ) and is a great example of Dev within the framework of a non-SYL band. The musicianship here is outstanding.
I don't really like to place any sort of hierarchical structure on all of these masterpieces, because they all have something to offer me at varying times.
        Long may it continue! 8)

Wow, Infinity is getting a hard wrap, especially considering it's genius.......

Oh well, I guess that is to be expected... it's not exactly easy listening, especially when compared to OM and Terria....

My fav is OM, "The Death of music" is simply amazing
But i think his best work is Terria.

Then comes Infinity, a really original and intesting record, in which you can find a song for every mood :)

I also enjoy listening to Physicist, there is a happy-pumping vibe to it.

AE is my least fav, but Away is one of Devin's best song!

        So i would say :
        1/OM
        2/Terria
        3/Infinity
        4/Physicist
        5/AE

I like AE way better than Physicist... I dunno what it is about that record, (Physicist), it just doesn't feel so Devy to me... I think AE has some of his best work ever on there, Suicide, Deadhead, Storm.... I was pleased to tell him that last time I met him and he seemed grateful... I hope no one has really bagged it out on him, which someone could concievably do, considering that it's a collection of songs rather than a stitched together masterpiece like Infinity, OM or Terria.... But I dig it for that reason as well... Like I've said before, it's nice to have a collection of songs from Dev as well... We have Devy albums for whatever mood we're in!

All the Albums are amazing. It's hard to like separate which one pulls me most. It's a matter of how I feel at the time. I had to go with Ocean Machine because it's Strong and uplifting. I don't know, this was a hard pick for me.
