I think you ought to consider doing a multi-track recording so that you could do a rhythm and a vocal line or something. Great sound!

Fuck! That website has deleted the file already!

I would really like to hear the cover if at all possible. Any chance of putting it on the website again, maybe with a slightly different name or something so they don't cotton on to it?

Really keen to hear it dude as the response has been awesome. Good on you for having a go!

James.

You deserve the praise sir!

That's some chilled out shit right there. I'm trying to imagine how cool the vibe would be on the actual song if it had marimbas in the mix. I think that'd sound top!

Hope the Dev is listenin'... if he's getting a bit bored of playing guitar like he says he his, maybe he should learn the marimba.

MARIMBA METAL!

Thank you so much for re-posting the song to that site!

Dude, you've done really, really fucking well. That was a fantastic interpretation of the song. I particularly liked your choice to play the verses really softly, so they kind of have a really haunted edge to them - that worked great. It sounds like quite a difficult instrument to play man. Now let me think, what else could you cover that'd sound great? I reckon a couple of good options might be 'Suicide' & 'Away' from AE, but also 'War' from Infinity.

Once again, well done dude, it was really great!

James :)

I was thinking maybe "Truth", "Deadhead", or "Deep Peace" (solo included!)

Basically, good choices would have to have either faster single note melodies or slow chordal sections, like Canada. Anything else would sound a little too forced...because they wouldn't sound like real marimba music.

I dig it cos it because its the first time I've heard a Dev cover where the focus is solely on the composition rather than copying Dev's technique be it vocals, use of synth, sound prod etc.

I can't wait to hear more, hopefully I'll be able to host some for you but my wireless connection always falls out, shite.
