i find it odd that people smoke weed in big gatherings, but it just makes you stare out into space and not talk for a lot of the time.

of course going to movie theatres in groups also confuses me, getting together to sit in a dark room and not talk???

I had some not-so-funny-experiences with weed 10 years back and nowadays I can't even see the meaning of using drugs. It's no good for me so I leave it. But that's just me. I'm fine with people smoking some weed...but I don't have to be present by that time.

The guy who sells me weed doesn't look like a dealer at all. They're actually very very professional. Sometimes the boss comes round and he chats with me. He told me how he's seen videos of his mother at woodstock, running around naked. He's a cool guy and has many interesting stories.

Dude, drug laws are some of the most fucked up shit ever, ive ranted about how terrible they are across the world so much that i don't have the energy to repeat myself in depth. In Singapore you get the death penalty if you have over an ounce of pot.. or is at an 8th? That's ridiculous, death for chilling? That's like getting caught with a lot of nutmeg, which fucks u up worse than weed by the way... In the US too, most places really, you get caught with something, u get fucked up the ass, and we're not talking about dealing drugs here, just using them.
Drugs are bad for you, so we ruin your life to prove it by sending you to jail... very reasonable..
Guns are legal in the states and pot isn't.... you have to be fucking kidding me... ALCOHOL is legal and pot isn't. There's never been one recorded death ever of anyone on pot.. on pot and other substances as well is different story, but never has anyone died from being high.
Sorry for the excessive profanity, it's just topics like these that drive me crazy. The law has one big fat hidden agenda...

I totally second that (without sounding Valley Girl). I enjoy alcohol (moderately), and I smoke weed occasionally when a friend has it, which is probably once or twice a year. I'm very boring whilst smoking it. It's very relaxing.

But, on the other hand, it's his life and he still writes beautiful music, so I'm not stopping him.

The thing is, governments do everything to ban the drugs they haven't made you pay taxes for. I mean, alcohol is a fucking harddrug, but since the government makes so much damn money off of it, you can buy it everywhere, the same goes with nicotine. Seriously, if they found a way to put taxes on cocaine, you could buy the stuff in your local supermarket.

Come on man, take the 'drugs' (cuz the term is nonsense anyways, it's like calling Linkin Park and Opeth heavy metal in the same breath) out of Dev and you take the city out of SYL.
Personally what i don't like about Dev is that he's balding (?? note the absurdity of that statement)
