dude, if i was Devin i would have popped that talentless hack in the fleshy part where his manhood never was. Devin has more talent in his stool than rob zombie has his entire "career".

Yeah, I was excited to talk with him and he was a bit rude.

Who knows though, I think he was having a bad day, interviewing lots of drunk bands.

s'all good.

I can't believe this. I've never seen an interview where the interviewer behaves like the rockstar ass, it's usually always the other way around

I like Rob Zombie a lot, but he sure fucked that one up. I guess he tought "he" was the top musician of the bunch? lol.

What did Jed and Gene say at 1:42 after Rob claimed they were expendable? I couldn't understand it

this was a very good interview but - and i'm really not trying to sound like a suckup - i really wish people would stop asking him to play strapping songs on this tour (and requesting them in threads here) and wishing for a strapping reunion. how many times does he have to repeat himself? I bet the interviewer used a question from a twitterer just so he didn't have to ask it himself.

i'd also just like to point out about dev's comment regarding touring when he says, "maybe you're oblivious to the fact that we always did know it was you and we're just happy to have you back" i'm sure I speak for most of us here that you nailed it right on the head. I'm pretty sure that most fans of your music don't care what type of music you do cuz you haven't disappointed yet so don't worry that people won't accept you if you're not still in strapping. i mean i guess some will which you can't avoid but that doesn't seem to be the majority.

anyway, enough kissing ass for one day.

^That reminded me of what a friend of mine told me today. He's like a fan of metal and rock bands like Lamb Of God and Tool and whatever. He said he liked some Strapping Young Lad too. So I was like, yeah Devin is awesome, I especially like his solo material.

And so today he says to me "That Devin's solo material was pretty bad. I checked a couple of songs from youtube and they did nothing... SYL is a lot better" All I could say was "too bad"

It does make me a bit frustrated though. I think that for a metal fan, the solo material just takes so much more time and dedication to understand. It's a bit unfair to go to youtube, play a clip and go like "nah, this doesn't work"... But well, tastes are different and stuff... So what can I do? Let those who prefer SYL do so. I guess I should be happy he atleast enjoys one aspect of his music.
