nah, playing without fretlines is eeaasssy. just try playing the upright bass some time, you end up just working out where all the notes are.
sounds like a cool idea, anyway, can't wait to see more!

Man that'd just bug me. With my production I'm a real perfectionist freak. With a fretless bass you'd never know, even if it SOUNDS right... if its the tiiiniiiest bit off pitch, even like a few hertz.

But thats just with my own stuff. I'm sure it'll sound awesome on whatever its used for.

So do you mean that, it would annoy you if it wasn't exactly on pitch? That's reasonable, but one good thing about fretless bass is, if you are a little off... you can slide up to perfection; like -Did you see that awesome slide, there? I meant to do that- and no one's the wiser.


Although, ideally all the notes will be right the first time :)
